Shorter Driver Appearance

Had an older shaft sitting in a corner & decided to put it to use in creating a shorter playing driver at around 44.25 inches. That's about 3/4 less than what I usually play. What I have noticed is that if I install my Callaway Epic Flash head it looks really off putting to me. That long stretched back head on a shorter shaft does not look quite right to me. The Callaway Epic head from 2017 actually doesn't look to bad at shorter length.

Anyone else have a hard time adjusting to the look of a shorter driver length? Especially if you have one of those driver heads that are bit stretched out.

... I have found many things that look a little off when staring at them either look different or the "problem" disappears when I start playing them on the golf course. So yes, I play my driver at 44.25 and a few heads looked a little large inspecting them at home, but once I started playing it I never even noticed.

You should evaluate the club on its performance.

You can always adjust length. Most players have a length

that works best for centered contact and that is what should

be the deciding factor, Play what works best.

It only looks different because off-the-rack drivers haven't been 460cc and sub-44.5 inches in a long, long time (if ever?). The only comparable thing we have is a 3-wood at 43" inches, and that's like 175cc. So our brain just isn't used to right away.

After a range session of using the driver it won't look weird anymore.

Maybe thats why I play my 430cc TS4 driver @ 44.5"...because it looks perfect.

wished i had the game to play it. TS4 has the prettiest headshape i have seen since 910d3. Its literally perfect.
