I believe in the tech (as a center shafted guy, Seemore MFGP2), but my issue is the visuals of a leaning shaft. Something about that visual is pull city AND makes it really hard to visually aim/line up my putt.

I tried the Link but I am a mallet guy so that didnt work. I am looking forward to their new model coming out as the shaft is closer to the face. The Mezz wasnt too bad but Im not a wing guy either.

 

I wish they had a grip where the shaft want into the grip straight, just up the trail side of the grip. That way their offset shaft could no longer lean forward and that offset is taken care of by the grip still

I definitely think there is something there with them and just waiting for that boom of everyone doing it, just curious if the smaller guy will be able to get truly torque free but I guess less torque will be good too.

Just my opinion but they seem gimmicky to me.  If there was a benefit to them and they holed more putts they’d be in every pros bag.

Love them. There is a learning curve but it is quite short and not particularly steep. They really highlight any mis reads, as it’s rare to miss a starting line. 

 

Why not in my bag now? I’ve gone side saddle as it seems I can turn my L arm disability into an advantage with this style. If it does not take long term, a no torque putter will be in my bag.

I personally think for a newbie or beginner it'll be ideal. I would believe a newb would just intuitively not exert or hold off torque trying to square the face. 

 

While most of us that's been putting with what's out there now is dealing with torque in some aspect of the putting stroke. Same goes for alignment and aiming. I prefer a full shaft offset from a L neck, slant neck, etc. cause I am used to not seeing the shaft at address. This holds true for the newb too cause they would not know better and just go with it and prob mock us stating how we always bicker about how hard putting is lol.

 

One minus I see with a no torque putter is that there are no forces acting upon it through a stroke so its dead neutral, so if one puts a bad stroke on it and adds a bit of torque somewhere there are no counter forces to bring it back to square. A typical face balanced would try to get back to square if say a player made an inside path backswing. Like the saying of "saving" a putt does not happen necessarily. Once you exert a torque on a LAB you are pretty screwed. 

 

It is an option and if it works it works.

 

However we have now a neutral putter like LAB, a face balanced, and a toe down or toe hang putter. Maybe try and see what will happen if we try a heel down putter. I have never heard one being done it definitely sounds like an informercial or QVC type of product lol 😆 but curious to try

If you can take one of your blade/mallet designs (or better yet, offer the zero-torque option as an upcharge on any head shape--I'm sure it's tougher than it sounds and takes lots of extra time to go through and add/remove weight after milling, as needed), then you'll stand out even more. You're already a king in this industry/custom putter market, but you would be the first to offer something like this. It seems like a bunch of added work (and would apparently require specialty grips??), but I'm sure people would be willing to pay you for the extra time on top of the custom putter in the first place

Doesn’t require special grips.  Can definitely be done on most head designs.  Judging by what he’s already posted I think he will find it’s not that hard to make

Definitely can make any putter zero torque, hard to make every putter look good and be zero torque.

Well he did it. I swear Josey can build anything, it’s wild. 
Zero torque. He even got a “revealer” made to test it out and it works perfectly.

Not Josey but yes.  Most BB28s in fact work perfectly in a revealer.  Zero torque putters are not hard to make/design.   And can certainly be made more aesthetically pleasing as Jordy has shown.

That’s awesome I may need to send one of my Mack heads back and have Josey convert it. I’m sure for him it would be pretty simple

I missed my opportunity to grab one of Joseys putters years ago. I believe they were right around $500. Although I probably use a different style, weight, etc at this point, I do regret not getting one.  It's one that got away from me for sure! If I ever run into an extra few bucks, maybe when my kids are all 20, I'll be coming for a putter Josey!

Great to see Josey doing well.  I got mine a while back and despite having a few putters, I find myself wanting to roll my MM most of the time.  Great guy to work with.  I'd encourage anyone on the fence to pull the trigger.  You'll have to expect a bit of a longer wait these days I presume... that's just how it is with a successful one craftsman setup. That said, it'll be worth the wait.
