Sure like the way it looks.   Selfishly I'd like to see It off a 32 degree 7 iron, as is my preference.  I like the size of the TC but ideally I wish it was a 32 deg. 7 iron.

They're pretty low bounce so I haven't bent them.  Still play fine however.

 

Anyhow,  looking forward to 12-16 to find out.

Selling the 480 TCs for 95 bucks is a good indication they are phasing them out. I did really like the ability to control swing weight with those.

I messaged NL and they did inform me that there will be a lefty model, but they couldn't tell me which one. When the 480 TCs were released, it took them a couple weeks to get the lefty version on the site. This could be a similar situation.

Hmmmm, would the 702+ be a little bigger, stronger lofted 702?  Looks like if that were the case it would be similar to the DB.

Just my opinion, but I've always thought that New Level, mostly their previous model irons, always took a little from Bridgestone iron designs.  I think they kind of strayed with the latest model a little bit the 480, but these 702 models are coming back around.  This is a compliment of course...

It does look similar. I am eager to hear how they describe these irons and which levels of players they are aimed at. Could be the CB with its undercut cavity is about equal to the 480TCs in forgiveness. I’d like to see a 7 iron at 33 degrees and a little more bounce than the 480 so loft can be adjusted either way. 
 

The MB looks sweet and also like it has a

bit more blade length than the 480MC, which is as compact as the og Blueprint. The 702MB looks a little friendlier.

 

I think New Level needs to host a zoom call with RyMo just for us and let him tell us all about them! He’s been playing them and I think his top 25 in Bermuda was with the 702CB.

Damn just got back to team NL from a hiatus. Using the 480tc and now want one of the new heads. Upside is the pricing should still be better then most everyone else

I just took advantage of the deals going and finished my left 480tc set (just purchased 5-6 to go with my already purchased 7-PW).  They are showing out of stock on 7 - PW lefty TC's.  I'd say the comment above about replacement is spot on.  I think the TC's are the best feeling/looking irons out there.  Really like the simplicity of look and the ability to easily change swing weight.  Glad I got a full set purchased, the new 702's don't do it for me like the 480's do.  Now - please bring the 480db's in lefty - that would be the ultimate combo for me.

We don't know much yet they don't release until 12/16. What it does appear is the weight port is gone. There appears to be tungsten in the toe and a cavity undercut behind the face. 2 things that to my knowledge NL has not employed prior to these.

Those new irons look amazing, but my initial reaction is those most be a pain to clean with that open slit in the back.... 

 

Ping, Titleist, and Cobra are smart enough to close the slit in their similar designed irons like T150, i210/BPS long irons, King Tour.

New Level has had a miiled slot before, in the original 902. 
 

 

Bridgestone also has done this in a number of irons. I’m sure many others have done it too. The 902 was a great iron beyond the short irons looking a little too big but I played them for a season and they were great. I think the milled slot looks cool. I don’t recall ever having to clean it. I mean, I can mishit an iron shot with the best of them but it would take some doing to get some turf in there. Slot is a little wider on the new one but I don’t think it’s going to matter.

Good catch. Maybe so since they’re slightly stronger relative to their previous models and closer to industry “standards” of other companies?

One bit of a downer I'm noticing is they are finally beginning to upcharge for a number of their stock shafts. Albeit not all that much but man it was nice while it lasted. They have offered DG TIs for no upcharge as long as I can remember which no one else does. Now 25. Modus is 10.

Think these are gonna be the ones to replace my 990's.  Thought they looked great since Ryan Moore put them in the bag. 

 

I'm assuming the + and cb will blend nicely?  Thinking about doing the + in 5 and 6 and then 7-PW in cb.
