Is this salvageable? Limited edition iron broke

I came across this set and sadly someone bent the crap out of the hosels(many times) the lofts were bent strong ( 6* strong) and might I add crudely. The 7 iron gave up the ghost trying to get them back to standard and I am wondering if anyone could possibly fix it.

 

I paid $25 for the 3,4,7,8,9&PW. 5 and 6 couldn’t be found.

Sadly, that one’s toast- you may have luck posting in thread “ missing iron to fill out set” in classic golf and golfers section of forum- that thread is sort of a pay it forward deal by some class guys on site.

You might call golfworks and see if they can weld it. It seems like it should be possible but I don't know if anyone will do it.

The head was work hardened from the previous owner bending it so much. I have bent clubs a long ways by annealing the metal. If you are going to bend the clubs back then you could try what I found to work:

I made sort of a brick enclosure to heat them and cool them in but that may not be necessary. I heated the clubhead until it glowed cherry red with a propane torch and then let it cool very slowly. Once the head was room temp it would be annealed and would bend a few degrees very easily.

The heads that I did were stainless and looked up the annealing process online for the type of steel before I tried it. I don't know what the proper procedure for carbon steel is what I did might not work, again I don't know.

Looks like some caveman got ahold of those irons and a loft/lie machine. Probably bent all of those hosels past the springback point. I wouldn't put too much faith in any of them staying intact if they were bent six degrees.

What is the point of going 6* strong? Good grief, there must have been negative bounce on most of them. They would have to be digging straight into the ground. The previous owner probably needed elbow and shoulder reconstruction.

Is there enough hosel stub for a bore-through shaft? May look/play odd but might be your only option.

If the two parts can be matched up, then the hosel could act like a metal ferrule and not create such a visual issue? shaft will play stiffer, but could be compensated for by clever selection / tip trimming?
