Smoked a few Jaime Garcia 2012 LE's yesterday on the course.  Love it when the Garcias get creative with connecticut wrappers.  Sure wish they still made the Le Bijou connies!

Just got back from a D.R. trip and fellow Cigar smokers hang on to your hats as prices are about to spike again. There is little to no Surplus left and even big guys like Fuentes are out of sizes, some of the smaller guys like LFD are basically out of aged product so what is available right now is all there is for a while. 

The Chinese are on huge surge in Cigar smoking and they are buying everything in sight. 

 

On another note I missed a big chance today to go to the Fuente Factory and meet with Carlos (sort of a private tour), I had an early flight out and if it was any other week I would have stayed another day to spend the time with him. He is a very nice person and very humble, just a joy to be around and he always has some special cigars in his pocket.

One of my most memorable cigars was a fresh Opus Lancero right off the rolling table during our tour.  We also visited the farms and had dinner with Carlito and Eric Newman.  It was a large group of about 30 of us as part of their charitable organization.  We saw the school they built through the charity as well, pretty impressive.

I'm new to the cigar game but a couple of my favorites so far have been Oliva Series V and San Cristobal Quintessence. I like the robusto size.

I try to go to the Fuentes bar/lounge everytime I am in the D.R. its funny how a  cigar always seem better in the correct atmosphere.

Probably my favourite, too bad I'm on my last box so saving them for special occasions. I just bought a box of the Limited Edition 2020 Partagas Legado which I'll age for a few years before I try.

 

For 'every day' smokes, I rotate Partagas D4, Hoyo Epicure 2 and R&J short Churchills.

Sat with my Son yesterday at an Orlando Cigar lounge and had a nice Ashton and two fingers of Whistle Pig, it was a very nice Cigar and Whiskey but the best part was spending two hours with my boy just talking about whatever came up.

 

He is getting married in a few months and our times to visit are getting harder to come by.

What cigar bar? There is one I really like and don't remember the name of but it's right by Bay Hill off Sand Lake and Dr Phillips.
