Best Options around Santa Rosa Beach for new players?

4 of us will be down there for a week in mid November. We are all newbies but pretty commited and serious. 

 

What couses would be good options for us? Open spaces, fewer hazards and a relaxed pace is probably best for us.

I’d recommend Windswept Dunes. Big, generous fairways. Water on the course but it doesn’t come into play a ton. Laidback atmosphere and probably won’t be very crowded, especially if you play in the afternoon. Just make sure you choose the proper tees to play from. 
 

Other than that, maybe Santa Rosa Golf Club. Pretty easy course but tighter than Windswept. Holiday over in Panama City would be another option.

Thanks. I'll check those out. We made times at Watersound Origins, Sharks Tooth and Baytowne. Any thoughrs on those?

I haven’t played Sharks Tooth, but I’ve played Origins and Baytowne. Tons of water on Baytowne, but nice views of the bay. Not an overly hard course but you have to keep it in play. Lot of condos lining holes. 
 

Origins is basically a very nice par 3 course. It’s a lot of fun to play.

Original poster here and I just want to close the loop on this thread.

 

We played 4x at Windswept Dunes and once at Watersound Origins.

 

We liked Windswept a lot. Staff was friendly, fairways and greens were huge and it wasn't crowded.

 

Watersound Origins was kept a little better but the multiple greens thing had us constantly confused as to where we were supposed to tee off from and which green we were aiming for.

 

My wife, brother and I are all new at the sport but we definitely got the bug.
