NOS PING ANSER 2

Went to a somewhat local golf shop that I hadn't been to in years today and found a brand new anser 2. Im not a ping expert but I believe it's been a few years since these were released. I prefer lighter putters so I figured why not. Had a headcover and even putter tape on the sole lol.

Part of the classic range that PING still offer to this day. You can get Anser, Scottsdale Anser, Anser 2, Anser 4, zing, zing 2, B60 and the 1-A

Can be ordered from Morton Golf or I have seen a few at most of the PGA Tour Superstores.

Nice.  But they're not NOS, they're current Ping Classic models as stated above.  I like that Ping still sells them year after year.  You can even get them through PingWRX to have weight increased, specs changed, etc.

Ya I was not sure. I'm in Canada so so PGA tour superstores, only golf town.  Found it at a small golf shop for pretty cheap. So figured why not? What is the headweight anyways? Feels around 310-320ish?

Yeah, right around 310.  Put on a bit of lead tape nice and neat on the sole like everyone did back in the day and it will be more than proper.  You've got yourself a handsome gamer...

Whether its new stock or old, those Ping Classics are great putters for the money. I spend top dollar on milled putters but I guarantee that one would be just as effective.

My everyday putter is a Ping Anser from 1967. I know that I won’t putt any better with any of the modern copies.

Yes I'm in Canada and have picked up both this one and the bronze Anser at GolfTown over the past few months.  I pulled the shaft and put a 10 gram tip weight in as well as some lead tape on the sole and it was 344 grams when I reinstalled the head with.  I love the smooth milled Ping faces.  Actually just ordered the new Prime Tyne 4 from GolfTown also when I saw it has a smooth face mill.  Just patiently waiting for it to arrive.
