And order form sent off to Brandon for a quote. I'm actually building a pretty plain putter, only getting branding in the cavity, nothing on the face cause pyramid grooves is good enough I think, but maybe thinking of adding something to the heel on the face.

The pyramid grooves are great. Sound slot too. The fire logo is cool.

I'm not doing the sound slot but that's something that can always be added later if the groove are too soft for me.

Still questioning if I should add the flame finish or keep the satin finish. Anyone have it? How's it holding up?

For those of you that ordered a custom, did it take the full time you were quoted? I'm interested in ordering a custom but was told 8-12 weeks which unfortunately is much of the season in Iowa.

I'm waiting on mine right now and Kevin straight up told me 8-12 weeks right now but depending what's going on and what I'm building it could be less or it could be more, if it's more he'll let me know, if it's less then I'll know my putter is done early. Seeing as I got his most popular model and pretty basic build I could maybe expect 6 weeks if the stars align but I'm in no rush, I'm about 2 weeks into the wait time but no golf here so in no hurry.

I'm just going to add some info for Kevin's lead time. Obviously a lot of it depends on what you're getting him to mill and also what's in front of your order and Kevin explained to me that there were a few putters that were just taking more time on the mill causing the extended lead time.

 

You see those "reptile" putters he posts sometimes? Yeah those extend lead time a ton for what's behind that order. Also right now I believe he's milling a bunch of 9305LN's like a dozen of them or so, those also take extra time on the mill. After those he's getting back into his two piece putters. If he has just a bunch of his 2 piece putters to mill he can pump them out in 4-6 weeks but if people want more elaborate things that just takes up mill time and those people are paying for that milling time. 

 

I hope that clears things up and this kinda is the same for everyone, some putters they can mill quickly if simple like mine will be but if someone wants something extra it just takes more time. But I liked that Kevin laid all that out when I spoke to him.

I have a 9305 LN in the works. Can’t wait to get it. Product looks great, Kevin and Brendan have answered every question that I have asked. The timelines that were given when I first prepaid for the putter were 4-6 weeks. I paid in full at the end of January and putter has yet to be started. That’s a little bit disappointing as you guys can imagine. Hopefully the product is better than the estimated timelines. Will update once the putter is in my hands.

I ordered my 9309 (simple build) end of March.  Lead time was suppose to be 6-8 weeks. Guess I’m not gonna hold my breath it’s on time.

Probably not. I’m totally ok if a putter takes what I’m quoted plus or minus two weeks. I realize that some things take time but communicating with your clients is paramount. I don’t want anything to be rushed ever and I have builds by NCW, Cody James, Geom, Logon Olson, etc. They all have been true to their word on delivery’s.

Good lord.  Been looking at pics of these putters and I think I'm in love.  I'm moving back to the Bay Area in a couple of months and think I'll be looking to do a fitting in Hayward and order a custom putter.  These look just incredible!

Picked up this lovely 9305 years ago when I was collecting.

You won't find many putters with cleaner lines, and I don't

think I've seen an insert as flush or subtle as this.

 

KB makes a beautiful putter.

I've just ordered one aswell.  Can I just say the communication via Instagram was top notch. Very fast and detailed.  Lead time is looking like 8-12 weeks. I'm still working on the finishing details here but I have a 9306WB in the queue as of now.   I really loved his stock options and slant neck with cup design. He's making a slightly longer neck for me aswell.   Interested to see if these pyramid grooves put a nice roll on the ball. I guess we'll see what August has in store.

My LN will be here Friday.  345g GSS, 34.5" on KBS, topline, beach, full face pyramid.  Submitted my order on June 2nd.  Would've had it sooner but the grip took a little longer to get to them from Gripmaster.  I'm a VIP so I was able to skip the line.

 

Not really, I was quoted 12+ weeks, but then got a call the day after as there was another LN going onto the mill at the moment and these are milled in pairs so I quickly claimed it.

 

Have an LAGP 135 coming as well to finish it off.

Damn right lol. I really want to know how the pyramid grooves are. If they help get a good roll on the ball they are worth it. If they are just for feel mainly, I may jaut get a light mill and not bother with them.

These putters are so nice.  I think visually these are my favorite putters out there.  The finish and milling is incredible.  I might go get fit for one in a year or two since I'll be in the area... I just wish there were more mallet options.  I've been a blade guy but I switched back to LHL and the mallet just seems to suit me better.

Yeah, personally I'd probably opt for the sound slot, especially if the diamond mill is soft and muting.

Here’s a 9305LN I had custom made by Kevin in the 90’s. 370 gram head, hidden copper insert, custom sight line, and my initials on the hosel. It’s been in the closet for years. Should just sell it, because I use mallets now. Man do I miss that Pride Special grip though…
