Thank you it's definitely a great looking putter. 

 

As for the face milling it's definitely a muted sound/feel but with have some feedback to it. So if you're used to an insert it will have more feedback than that and if you like a firmer feeling putter with feedback it will have less than that but still have feedback unlike an insert does. Definitely unique but didn't take too long for me to get used to it and it does roll the ball so well, like everything is end over end for me.

Makes sense, thanks for sharing your impressions.  Sounds (no pun intended) similar to the old Bettinardi F.I.T. Face tech of yesteryear!

Firmer than F.I.T. Face for sure maybe closer to their new RC Face in terms of feel which I've heard does feel firmer. The F.I.T. Face was overly soft despite me liking it at one point.

I can see (or hear? 😆) that given the smaller holes and less distance between them (more surface area contact). 

 

Your previously detailed experience with the spec change issue and KB's customer service was nice to read.  A company standing behind their product/process 100% goes a long way...especially in a niche custom market like "boutique" putters.  Always nice to learn of small, independently owned business treating their customers well!

If you are looking for a tink or a click, Pyramid grooves do not provide that sound/feel.  I opted to go for a sound slot with the grooves and I think it really helps with the feel.

Placed an order for a 9306 with a slant neck in a raw patina finish. Gonna be a tough wait but couldnt be more excited! Went with a Stability Tour shaft in mine. Anyone tried one in theirs?

I'll be curious to see what that Raw Patina finish looks like when done, don't believe that was offered when I ordered mine.

ill definitely post pics! im not sure its fully raw, but it was described to me as a version of their carbon steel that will patina

And the milling / feel is superb.  Picked up mine today and it's unbelievable how fantastic this one-piece design is.  KB really outdid himself this time.

Definitely a really nice shape and they said it will be offered as a 2-piece model come the summer. When that happens I'm going to see about getting a head made probably skip the pyramid grooves which are really nice but his fly mill is also super nice.

I never circled back and posted my KB here.  After what was a long wait from the company, I ended up sending this to a plating company and have some work done to it. It really turned put amazing. Overall, for the price, the guys at KB make a beautiful putter. Hard to argue!

Six week feels long, but I'll say that in the end it was worth the wait.  They are busy as every which is great for the company.

Got my putter last week and to say I'm in love is an understatement! Build is spot on and with out a doubt is the best putter I've every rolled! Interesting in picking up another neck option down the line, anyone gone through that process with a 2 piece???

That's awesome I remember you said that was a new finish they are offering, I forget what they called it but looks good.

 

As for a new neck you can just order from the site or just email them and get it setup. I myself want to order a new head from KB eventually when the 9307 comes out in 2-piece and lefty.

I've played mine a few times this year, it sets up so easy and looks great at address. I do wish the Pyramid Grooves gave a bit more audible feedback, a hair too muted for my ears but there's enough feedback I haven't abandoned it. Plus the roll is just too good not to use and it's a nice difference from my other putters so I have more reasons to keep it vs sell it. 

 

I also think I'm going to strip the torched finish on mine mainly because I'm getting some oxidation/corrosion on the top line that's a little annoying at address, if it was anywhere else but the top I wouldn't care. Not a big deal being a torched finish it would eventually fade with use anyways. 

 

Other than that I'm waiting for his 9307 to come out in 2-piece and LH and I'll see if I can obtain just a head and weights with a regular fly mill face, if not a custom isn't that expensive for what I'd get just have to look at another neck for some variety.

Definitely want to see the necks, wish he had more details on his neck options, a simple email probably works but I don't like to bug when I don't have to.

I'm not sure how many have been following this thread from the start. A few weeks back I sold my custom and moved on to something else.  There was ultimately something thay didn't feel right to me about the putter I ended up with. 

 

Other than missing putts, I really did not like the pyramid grooves.  I personally didn't notice any better roll om the ball and I really disliked the feel. Very soft. 

 

Regardless, KB does amazing, clean work...ultimately I decided this particular putter wasn't for me.
