Neither have I wanted to play courses in Tremblant but I can probably heard sheep before I heard my friends.

I’m sure the courses in QC are gorgeous since the Province has such beautiful scenery/geography!

My home course is the best course in Quebec that people outside the province haven't heard of (Whitlock GC in Hudson). It's a crime that the North/South isn't top 100 in Canada but Beaconsfield is every year. There isn't a single person that would say Beaconsfield is a better course. 

 

If you ever come i'll get you on of course. 

 

Public courses, the Tremblant ones are nice but they are 75 mins north of Montreal (Le Diable is the most grand....Le Geant is a more mountain style course)

 

2 very popular public courses near MTL are Quatre Domaines #2 which has white sand bunkers. And also the Ile De Montreal Ireland course, which is kind of a true links course. 

 

45 mins west of Montreal there is a course called "The Falcon" which is also in Hudson and is a great layout. 

 

Another good one is "Le Versant" in Terrebone which has 45 holes. The course called "Des Seigneurs" is the best one but Des Braves is also good

Jackpot...I knew I was asking the right guy!!

 

That's amazing...will definitely use this as a guide for when I'm able to make it to MTL with enough time to Golf!

 

Unfortunately the last few times that I've been there, it's just been to stop off on route to and from Halifax/Toronto. Have to make a trip specifically to MTL soon, ideally during Golf season!

The only challenge with MTL is that conditions can be hit or miss depending on season at the public courses. Some of them aren't doing great financially and some years just aren't in the best shape

 

The Tremblant courses are always in good shape because it's a premium resort. But outside of those I'm not sure we really have a "can't miss" public course.

Played in a Tournament today, and it was the first day it felt like Fall Golf…it was freezing!!

 

Definitely time to pull out the Fall/cold weather gear unfortunately.

Good times today getting a round in with fellow WRX’r @Finaus_Umbrella!
 

Just my 2nd time Golfing with another WRX’r…lots of fun talking gear, Golf, and life!!

 

Also picked up some new wedges this week, and today was their maiden voyage. Quite a bit different than the OG RTX Zipcore. Once I get them dialed in after a couple more range sessions and rounds, I’ll be able to give more feedback on them.

 

Doing my first Golf trip to PEI next week and playing 3 rounds there. Will have a much better feel for the new stuff in my bag after that!

Haha!! Honestly, I wasn’t right health wise at all.

 

Took a turn for the worst after the round and feel like trash. Thank God I didn’t walk too, I would’ve passed out by the turn.

 

Looking forward to the next round though…good times still!

New bag to test out for the end of season stretch!

 

I really love the look and quality of the Vessel/TM Lite Lux, but with the smaller openings for clubs, and my Midsize grips, it’s a constant battle with club tangle.

 

I’ve tried 2 different versions of this Nike Air Sport 2.0 bag in Black, but giving a different colour-way a chance.

 

Just in time for my Golf trip to PEI this week and Cabot Cliffs coming up in a couple of weeks! 😎✌️

Wow…I like poutine as much as the next guy, but I wouldn’t wait longer than 15 mins for it unless it’s winning some type of culinary award! 😯

 

Maybe it’s time to open a poutine restaurant in the Northeast?

It’s a once a year event and people around here (my wife included) go freaking nuts for it. Gotta pull your car in line at least two hours before they serve or you aren’t guaranteed to get any. I can’t get the smell out of my nose.

Odd since it's just fries, gravy and curds. Unless the gravy and curds are sub par, which is honestly the make or break for poutine. Obviously the fries too but if you can't fry a good fry you're out of your element.

 

The draw for me is only when it's cool/cold out and maybe a few beverages, put one of those bad boys in your hands piping hot and you're in a whole other element. The people that get it all the time need help.

Ok so after reading this post I actually googled poutine. When Matt said fries I had to because that is not what the locals call poutine. What they call poutines here is salt pork wrapped in potato and boiled. Don’t know what it actually is but fries and gravy doesn’t sound similar at all.

Yeah, I’ve never heard of what you’re talking about. Maybe it came from European settlers in the Northeast generations ago?

 

What @MattM97 and I, and our fellow Canadians call poutine is this beautiful creation that originated in Quebec.

 

Just fries, cheese curds, and gravy on top. You can actually get it in most of our fast food chains here:

I was trying to figure out how french fries, cheese, and gravy could make you that disgusted. Haha, whatever dish that is they are calling Poutine, is not what Poutine is here.
