Here’s our.......thing!? (Actually a Cha hua hua ((thanks Les Nesman)) and pug. They told us at the shelter he shouldn’t get more than a few pounds. He’s now about 15lbs of pure orneriness. Can’t believe how attached to the little s!*t I’ve gotten in a year. He has a hard life.

She was waiting for me to throw her rope toy.  She is a service dog in training and if makes the grade will be placed with someone that has autism, PTSD, or other medical conditions.  My Brother and his Wife volunteer to babysit the dogs over the weekends to get the dogs exposed to as many different environments as possible.  Wrigley has a ton of personality and playful puppy in her without her vest on, but once the service vest is on, it is game on, and she is all about working.  Someone will be very lucky to get her.

We had two JRT’s (at the same time) and they’re pretty hard to wear out. In fact we were the the ones who got worn out. High energy and noisy but lots of fun. One of our JRT’s used to (without help) run and jump on a boogie board and skim across the pool when the kids were playing.

Rescues just have a special type of love and affection that’s infectious to their new families.

My rescue boy. he certainly has a story from before we got him and it involves a little boy. We've had him for almost 6 years now and he still reacts when he hears a little boy. It breaks my heart to know that he misses his boy. I wish I knew what happened.

Here's Bailey when she was a pup chillin with her BFF Chloe. She just turned 3 and is a good, albeit silly, companion. I'm biased but after having 3 of them i think Goldens are the best breed.

It seems there are dog people and cat people. Sometimes someone has both but generally speaking there is a divide. Since I was 3 years old I’ve had one or more dogs. My children were raised with dogs, and 5 of my 6 kids has at least one dog. One of my sons, (who at one time was a 1 hdcp) has cats. He and his wife have 5 of them. He would argue with you about which was best.  I don’t know where I went wrong in his upbringing.

I am a thru and thru dog guy but my daughter’s cat is very dog like.  Greets you at the door and likes to play around.  

Not picking up crap in the yard is a bonus

Tough SOB, half Bengal and half Siberian forest cat (anti allergic) and the dogs are wary

 

The cat issue is they decide when they want to interact, whereas as the dogs in my life are attention seekers/companions almost all the time
