as if every one of us hasn’t at some point in our life said something in anger that we regretted. Something that didn’t really reflect our entire mind.

 

There’s a reason there are varying degrees of crimes. A crime of passion vs. murder 1.

 

if JT did this over and over and over with no remorse, than yeah. That’s “who he is”.

 

but to draw that conclusion off 1 instance? Makes No sense.

 

and also I think it’s silly to have such an emotional reaction and outrage to someone saying a WORD to begin with. Especially when JT obviously wasn’t thinking of a homosexual person when he said it. Just a bad word choice and bad crude language. Language he shouldn’t use but not a hate crime, nor do I think he had any ill will toward anyone but himself when he said it.

Generally speaking, it would be a good idea to just eliminate that word from your vocabulary, especially if you’re a professional athlete with sponsors who pay you a lot of money based on a combination of how good you are at your job and how likeable you are, and even more so if you work in a public arena where what you say is often picked up by microphones. But even if you don’t, it’s an ugly and antiquated thing to say, so it’s best to avoid it altogether.

JT is one of the best players in the game, and has a pretty spotless reputation prior to this, so hopefully he learns from it and grows from the experience.

The people that don't like JT are going to pile on because of this. He is tremendously talented, but often with that goes an attitude that can rub people the wrong way. When something like this happens it just seems to reinforce that fact. Of course he's sorry, of course he regrets it, he got caught. He doesn't want to get fined, lose sponsors, etc. Will he be a better person because of it. From a PR perspective, definitely. In a money game with his buddies, probably not.

He carries on like a spoilt toddler after every missed putt. Like nobody in the history of golf has come close to making every putt under 20 feet, it's ridiculous how he f-bombs and whinges every time he misses one

Fake outrage indeed. The guy said something in the heat of the moment and  99.9% of us have done the same thing. As mentioned above, Rahm came really close as well as he was missing putts.

 

I may go out and pick up some RL gear to show my support of the guy (not that I support what he said).

 

I hope there is not a live mic close by JT if Alabama loses to Ohio State Monday. That string of profanity would be cringe worthy.

Rahm is this generation's Craig Stadler when it comes to clothes. I remember McCord commenting once on a CBS broadcast when they showed Stadler: : "There's Craig Stadler... with the nice tailored pants" he mocked as they showed Stadler wearing a pair of slacks that looked about 2 sizes too small. Broke me up. Rahm has the same problem in that department, they never seem to fit him correctly. Generally he has always looked like an unmade bed out there. Maybe he has unusual anatomy or something and needs custom-made slacks.
