Got941
Looking to join a private club in Sarasota, what the best value?
RichieHunt
Maybe Sara Bay CC. Their range is only 150 yards long. But it's a Donald Ross design, very good greens and in great condition. brianwy
I am in the same situation as you. I have done a little research and it appears Mission Valley has one of the better deals, especially if you are a walker. 4k to join and about $500/month. My only concern is that they seem to do alot of rounds. I have heard their membership is very welcoming. Sara Bay looks good but I am not sure I could live with a 150yd range. Got941
I’m looking at laurel oak suppose to be a good track with a lot of events. We use to play at gator creek so we’re looking for something that offer similar level of golf.
Juan73
I am a member of The Founders Club.. it is a bit pricey, a smaller club with great greens, nice routing, no tee times, caddies if you want them, walking but no pull carts, very nice practice facilities, friendly and helpful staff, friendly feel and lots of golf groups to join, including an excellent Saturday morning game for the better players. It is close to maxing out memberships. Also, another pricey club is Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club.. three 18 hole courses, etc. etc. AND if you have connections and a LOT of cash, joining the Concessions would be the way to go.. it is hosting the WGC- Mexico Championship next month --which the PGA announced a week ago, to limit travel for its players. Lots of semi private clubs in the area.
GolfSRQ
We play out of tpc prestancia and enjoy it. you should join a club here based on where you live. If you live near lwr join Lakewood ranch country club or the ritz. Laurel oak is very nice , has a lot of good play and good dining. Neighborhood is also fun. we like tpc because we live in the neighborhood. But it is busy. I would do my homework on mission valley. I would join close to where you live, traffic in season can be tough.
