Evenflow T1100 v Tensei White

Has onyone put these two shafts up against each other? If so how did they perform please. Currently use the T1100 in my driver but feel as though I could do with a slightly lower ball flight. 

 

SS around 105 usually with the driver.

 

Would an old skool Whiteboard be better?

the T1100 feels a tad bit softer and a bit higher launching than the Tensei White CK Pro.  Now there is just a Tensei White which has a higher torque rating and higher launching than the CK Pro version.  I would say the T1100 and the non Pro White are very similar. IMO

Thank you - what would you suggest that is lower launching? Can't get a fitting/onto a launch monitor at present due to lockdown/Covid restrictions so quite happy to tinker at present plus it gives me a project. I prefer the 60g (ish) shafts and a smoother profile which rules out the PX range.

Ventus black, tensei AV raw white, tensei ck pro white, diamana DF, Tour AD XC are some of the best latest and greatest low launch/spin shafts IMO.  All shafts listed are going to have a lot of feel.

agree with all of these.  to me the softest feel is the AD XC.  The ventus black has the firmest feel which I like the best. not boardy at all, one piece feel.

Pretty tough to beat the evenflow white if you're someone between stiff and extra stiff looking for low spin and great feel.

I've played the Evenflow White, Ventus Black, and Tensei AV White. I'm a high ball hitter.

 

My main playing partner, who has same handicap (7) and same swing speed plays the Evenflow Blue. He couldn't hit my Evenflow White high enough and I hit his Evenflow Blue too high. I replaced my Evenflow White with a Ventus Black at 44.5" playing length. Trajectory was slightly lower with improved feel. Loved it.

 

I got my TSi3 with the Tensei AV Raw White fully expecting to replace it with the Ventus Black. That ended up not happening. The Tensei is the best feeling, best performing shaft I've ever had in a driver. Extremely close to the Ventus Black but at 45.5" I found it equally straight/consistent/accurate and longer at the longer length. Something about it just let's me find the sweetspot more consistently even with the longer playing length.

 

Anecdotally, I'd say the Tensei White and Evenflow White are very close to the same trajectory with the Tensei maybe a bit lower. I could play the Evenflow at 8.25* comfortably and I find myself going back to 9* with the Tensei anytime I experiment with 8.25* with that shaft. It's a subtle difference. With low/low shafts it's almost hair splitting territory. For me it was about feel and impact consistency and the Tensei beat the Evenflow in those categories.

If you can find one, check out the gen2 whiteboard ('ahina).  

 

I have one in 60X (the real-deal ion version, not the MFT).  I also have a Diamana DF in 60X.  The 'ahina is more stable and flights lower.  And unless I come over the top with a bad swing, its not going left. 

 

The 'ahina put the DF (which I do like otherwise), Rogue Silver 130 and HZRDUS Smoke Black all back in my garage...

I currently use the Evenflow white T1100 and although I love it, I can't help but think there's a couple of promo shafts out there that would net me another 5 or 10 yards.  That being said, still love the t1100 and it'll be hard to know out of the bag just on a consistency standpoint.

I will say, the evenflow white T1100 is very stable throughout the shaft, with it getting a little soft in the hands.  The kickpoint is higher up in the shaft.  I think the ventus black and tensei white will be similar regarding the stable throughout and the higher kick point but I am not sure they will get soft in the hands like the T1100.
