I210 vs t100s

I have been playing i210 pretty much since launch. Recently I was on a “killing time” trip to GG and hit the T100S. Always admired the aesthetics of them. Have been a “PING” guy for a long time. They’ve just kinda earned my business one club at a time for a while until I just got to a point where I have all the confidence in the world in their products.

 

Anyway, I need to order a new set of irons and it’s pretty much down to these 2 sets(dark horse being the T200.) For perspective I finished this year as a 1.8 however I have a 3 year old and a 4 month old so the amount of time I have to devote to my game is going to diminish, unfortunately. 
 

My ultimate question is about forgiveness. My miss is toe side of center. How does T100S handle it? Anyone that has made the jump from one set to the other have any input? Also, the t200 is pretty hard to distinguish from t100s to me aside from a little more offset(to my eye.) Is T200 that much more forgiving than T100S? 
 

A lot of questions there and I apologize. Any insight is greatly appreciated .

I have owned both the i210 and T100S. Both are fantastic irons. The T100S is forgiving for its size and the tungsten in the toe really does help with mishits. For your handicap you should have no problem with them. They are not going to be as forgiving as the i210s, however, so if that is your primary concern I would say stick with the Pings. I ultimately kept the i210s and sold the T100S as I was just a little more confident with the added size and forgiveness and they feel just as good. Also the wider sole and extra bounce help with the soft conditions I commonly play in.

 

Sorry cant help with the T200s never hit those.

 

I was planning on playing the i210s this year (and still may) but recently demoed the Srixon ZX7s and found them to be a nice medium between the two with fantastic feel and ball flight. I have been let down with irons before so not going to get too excited until I play them in real conditions and better weather.

 

The i210s are one of those irons I will never sell, however.

I wouldn't put the T200s in the same class as the other 2 or even think about it in that category vs. other OEM offerings ('19 Apex Pro's for example).  While I haven't hit the T100s, I game the I210s and had the T200s for a bit last year and found them to be quite clicky and not enjoyable to hit vs. my Pings.  They did the job, but other than that, wouldn't want them vs. other options available.

I agree rhe t100 is not in same class as forgiveness as i210.  Ig you're looking i would add srixon zx5 or TM p770.  You might want to hit zx7 as well.  Basically same as zx5 top line just a tad longer blade and less tech.

 

Keep in mind the i210s spin like a blade.  Others will spin less but launch higher.  I was able to still get almost a 50 percent descent angle with 120 peak height but with spin around 5800-6000 with p770 instead of 7000-7500 with ping on a 7 iron.  I did have to go with lower launch and spin shaft to hit optimum numbers, so went with project X.
