Auditor SW machine? Reviews?

Not sure why I would ever spend that much money on a SW scale. The $150 one they sell works just as well.

@commoditybroker I have that SW scale and I actually really like it.  I've never had a SW scale before so I cannot tell you how it compares to the other types or less expensive scales.  However, I do like the ease of this particular scale.  Pretty much just place club on scale and read SW.

But I will say it is expensive.  I purchased mine used from a local golf course that was going out of business.  I was playing a round when I found out they were closing.  After my round, I went inside and spoke to manager who confirmed the closing and I asked about equipment in the shop.  I was able to purchase the SW scale and frequency machine for the cheap.  

I will admit I used the frequency machine once and bought it because of the great deal I was offered rather than a true need for it.

If you don't mind spending the $$$, I think you'll be pleased with the SW scale.  But if you're going to purchase more equipment, I think the less expensive (manual) would be great.  There's a reason the manual SW scales are backordered, its because they are accurate and affordable.

I have a GS one identical to that one. Works great.

Eliminates the need to have a separate weighting scale.

It's also got the tare function which allows you to weigh lead powder in a tray and other items if desired. 

Comes with a calibration weight. Also allows you to build to much tighter tolerances( for example D2.6, D2.3 

I only wish it came with a stop similar to Tutleman's home made swingweight scale. I say if you got the dough go for it.

If you're gonna spend that much, just go the distance and get the MOI Auditor Speedmatch. That's what I did and I just use a SW calculator if I ever need to get a SW.

I've just never been able to justify a digital SW scale.  It's nice, just like having a digital readout on a loft/lie machine, but just not worth the expense IMO.  I have an Auditor like Redneck, and that's the only piece of digital equipment I have outside of a caliper.  The manual scales also alleviate calibration issues as they are practically foolproof in that regard.

For the record. I've had mine for about 9 years and never had to calibrate it. I checked it last fall and was still bang on😁

It also makes it easier to build a MOI matched set instead of eyeballing a basic swingweight scale. Overkill I know but just had to say it.

Anything made by golf mechanix is legit you won’t be disappointed ever. Imho.
