Srixon Irons wait time.

This thread is one of the reasons I'll never sell the old before the new arrives. I feel for you guys who are without sticks to play.

This confirms one of my greatest concerns that you can be waiting on one component and then they will run out of another component during the wait because they sold them to someone else. I would have never even thought to contact customer service, but when they only sent me the 8 iron (~5 weeks ago) I got a little concerned about the rumors that they were running out of heads. They have since told me that it is the shafts they are waiting on, so I really hope they don't next say sorry we ran out of heads.

Got my shipping notification for the ZX7 set today. Looks like the 4 week mark is pretty standard for a custom build. Not likely to see a course for a month given the weather in Mass is unpredictable. 
 

For reference, I got the ZX7 5-P with project X LZ shafts and GP MCC +4 midsize grips. Ordered on 2/10 so pretty good turnaround.

Depending on where you are, Paradise Family Golf is a great spot. They have a TrackMan studio that I rent out weekly leading up to the season. It’s great for data and you get to hit out into the range which is another perk. 
 

Kohr is easily the top dog in the area for facilities though!

Got my notification last Friday, ordered 1/22 ish. 2 day shipping, however it arrived in my state Sunday now sitting in the sorting facility. FedEx won’t deliver till Tuesday. 

5-gw ctaper light stiff. The hold up was the z cord grips.

My UT shafts from Graphite Design got lost in Nebraska. Not sure how a 2 day air package from  CA to MA ended up there, but here we are.... 

 

but the UT heads from Srixon have been in NJ for a few days. Gotta love that 2day air upcharge to wait longer than FedEx ground. 😂😂

Update 3/8.  Zx-7  5-pw. PX LS 6.0 with Z-cords.    Contacted Srixon.  Excellent service.  Project X LS was not in stock with expected arrival date of 3/22.  Was told shipping date should be around 4/1.

Update on 3/20.  Project X LS 6.0 not expected in stock until end of April.

I think it is super interesting that there are all these people/comments on this website that are as dedicated/anxious about their Srixon irons.. (and I count myself amongst them)

 

Maybe I am biased, but I haven't seen any posts about people waxing poetic about getting their new taylormade or titleist irons.. 

 

Are we that crazy??  Do we know something that no one else does??

Placed order Feb 17 just received my combo zx5 5-6, zx7 7-aw PX LZ 6.0 -1/2 length -1 weak, super stroke grip. Really surprised to see them this soon. Gl folks they will come just continue to check this thread everyday for fomo. I'm in GA btw so will be going for a test drive around 330.

I'm living and dying on everyone's updates and checking my FedEx account daily. Ordered a LH combo set through a pro/Srixon rep on 2/4 and was told 10-14 days. Received an update today that the holdup has been the Lamkin Crossline grips, which I only chose based on hearing other grips were limited when I ordered🤦‍♂️. Those are expected 3/15, which would kick off the build (fingers crossed).

Got my new Z785 irons this week.  Less than a week turnaround time from the BST.  😂  Hit them for the first time today and they are sweet.  Feel better and slightly more forgiving than my Miura lefty CB Y grind irons.  Really unfortunate since I have less than a third of the Miura's price into my "new to me" used Srixon Z785's.  

 

Srixon's may stay and the Miuras may have to go.

I am in the same boat as you.  Ordered on 1/21, and last week I had a shipment date of 2/23.  Needless to say, they still haven't shipped.

Expectations are for a build next week with shipping to follow.

It is exciting to have new sticks coming and I am sure they will be worth the wait.  Who knows when they will actually get built and shipped ?

I do regret being a little cry baby earlier in the wait...I know everyone is trying.  It helps that I finally had another good round yesterday (3 over in 24mph winds) with my Z945’s.  I was a much bigger baby when I couldn’t hit a fairway for two months :-).

 

On an even more serious note, I think a lot of us felt Srixon may have dropped the ball a little with communication.  Add to that, many have had vacations canceled due to COVID, maybe friends and family seriously affected, tired of wearing mask to go eat, and I know all of us in health systems are just plain tired from keeping up with COVID patients and now vaccinations.  Srixon, at least for me, became an easy target.

 

I hope all of us get our clubs soon.  I hope spring weather and sunshine gets us all on the course to enjoy this crazy game.   Lastly, if I ever get to tee it up with any of you, I hope the beer is on you in the 19th hole 🤝.
