Reading a lot about delays with the MMT shafts. Has anyone heard anything about delays with Recoil shafts?

Yes. I have an order out for Recoil 95 F4. Confirmed direct through my fitter and Srixon that the F4s were back ordered. Should be coming next week......at least that’s what I was told.

 irons are back in stock on Srixon.com. Hopefully that’s a good sign that they are starting to catch up on orders.

I will add, as others have said, be sure to get loft and lies checked when you get them. Took mine in to 2nd Swing here in Scottsdale (as they have a digital loft lie machine, and the lofts were pretty close to spot on but the lies were off as much as 2*.

Not a big deal to me because no matter how good or bad a manufacturer is alleged to be I always will get mine checked. And rechecked every six months or so.

I just compared the Zipcore 46* to the ZX7 PW and actually prefer the Zipcore by a lot. Black satin finish of course. So, I think I am actually doing the right thing in switching my order to the Zipcore. Hopefully there isn't a huge wait for those, especially in that loft. I think it beats waiting another 6 weeks for the MMT PW shaft to maybe or maybe not be delivered.

Ordered a ZX utility iron with recoil 95 X on the 28th of February from Golf Galaxy. It was custom built, +1” over standard length and midsize grip. Shipped from Srixon in Hunting Beach, CA. FedEx says it will be here tomorrow.

I ordered ZX7 PW-7i and ZX5 6i & 5i with Recoil 95 F4's on 2/4.  I have been given hope they will be built next week and shipped the same or the following week 2nd day air.  I had reason to believe the wait has been on multiple components from grips on down the line.  It was never indicated the Recoil was on back order, but could be? I have read on forums they were out of certain GP grips and then they were out of several Lampkin grips.  I also read on forums they were out of certain ZX5 heads.  This is not an exhaustive list of what I have read...and we know everything on the internet is true :-).

They may have changed, or I was wrong. I do know on the previous generation of drivers the handcrafted were no up charge. May be where I got the idea from.

Not as bad as the past seven days of that affliction we can’t discuss - but may be on the mend.  We’ll see how fast they process the next one! Supposed to snow tomorrow anyway.

zx7 4-PW ProjectX 6.5 shafts. Grips are Golf Pride MCC Plus4 (gray).

I was told on friday they weren't expecting any MMT shipments until May. Since I didn't feel like waiting another 6-7 weeks, today I was able to cancel the ZX7 PW and get a 46* Zipcore with a Modus 105 shaft. They said they would fast track it. I gave them a list of 6-7 shafts that I thought would be in stock and said I would take any of them in order and the Modus was like 5th on the list.

yesterday i spoke to Carls golfland and they said a 12 week delay on Titleist heads.....

 

I spoke to Titleist and they told me the delay was on SHAFTS from china and Japan, mainly Dynamic gold...but the heads would be available in 4 weeks

 

crazy times and this pandemic has screwed up everything

Yeah, I have an iron order in with Titleist through Carl's at the moment.  Late February order.  Apparently, LH heads due late March.  I went with Kuro Kage 105 graphite shafts, so I suppose those are in stock.  Build expected early April, with mid-April delivery.  Just comes with the territory these days.

Carls was incorrect. I spoke with Titleist directly and they confimed heads AND DG SHAFTS are due in 3/22 and 3/29 and 4/2.   we are currently 4-5 weeks from a ship date which is not bad.    

 

Carls confirmed the Titleist info today.

 

another backorder is on the blackout 360 grips....you cant get those right now so any orders that go in should have a grip thats in stock....regular tour velvets are plentiful

A couple of more days and I will be to the 5 week mark...for Srixon. 

I would think these companies would have decent financials for these month when they are taking money in on orders and not yet paid for the grips, shafts, and maybe heads they have not yet taken procession of?

Update, Srixon is now saying end of March to get the Steelfiber shafts needed to finish my set (missing 7 and 8 iron).

 

Hope that's the final estimate!

Well, I got fitted for the ZX5 with Project X LS shafts and absolutely love them.

 

But after doing more research it sounds like 4-6 week wait time minimum in both Canada and the U.S.

 

I’m still thinking about waiting it out, but I can get custom built clubs from Sub 70 in 10 days.

 

Really like the ZX5, but my current clubs are too short, so not sure I can wait that long. Frustrating.

Just my opinion, they're worth the wait. I got the Project X 5.5's in mine and it took 2 days shy of a month. Although I'm a lefty.

Ok excellent, good to know. Yeah, I definitely loved them in the fitting for sure. Just wished it was a quicker and smoother process...crazy times!
