Srixon Irons wait time.

I heard from discount Dan's today and they told me sometime in May for irons I pre ordered in December of last year. I decided to change shafts. Hopefully. I get them sooner now.

Ordered 5-PW ZX7's with Project X LZ 6.5, -2 Flat, GP MCC Midsize through Srixon's website on 3/13. Got shipping notification last night and should be here by Saturday. Hope they're spec'd right but at this point don't even care tbh! Lol

had the same thing happen to me.  ordered 3 up got them at 2 up. ZX5 5-pw.  Plus they forgot to cut my 9i and pw to my custom lengths.

I purchased a set in middle of January, zx5 4 iron and zx7 5-p with modus 120x. I received the 4 iron within a few days. Still waiting on the zx7 5-p. Originally it was a grip holding up the order. So I changed grips, but then was told it was the shaft afterwards. From what I hear they basically take the parts they have and fulfill those orders. So because they were back ordered on my grips they took the iron shafts and made someone else’s set. Then I changed grips and by that time the shafts became back ordered. I have an expected date of sometime mid April (hopefully). Fingers crossed!

My two top contenders would be:

1. Callaway Apex/Apex Pro combo

2. Wilson Staff CB

 

A Buddy just ordered a set of Callaway's and received them in 9 days.  But it may be a little like Srixon and it depends on the components.  I think there has been a significant wait for some sets.  It seems the MMT shafts are a problem for everyone.

 

Had a really solid back side with my Srixon Z945's today so the wait is more palatable than after a round where I stink it up 🙂

Great question! My other Top 2 contenders were:

- Callaway Apex / Apex Pro

- Sub 70 639 CB / 699 Pro

 

Heard it was a similar wait time for Callaway, so probably would’ve gone with Sub 70.

Apparently delay from 3 weeks ago was ZX5 4 iron heads, now it’s Lamkin grips (ST+2). Told my guy to just ask for any grips loose, we’ll see if that makes a difference. No mention of the “exotic” kbs tour 120 shaft being an issue.

I really hope this helps you.  Hard to know what orders they will be able to fill anytime soon.  I think the only sure thing is to find a set in a store or on BST and then build them how you want.  Anything short of that and it might be 10 days or 70 days plus?  

It has been explained to me that it only makes sense for Srixon to pass over hard to fill orders and fill what they can.

OK, then why can't Srixon post what is available?  

I have also been told that it should not be expected that they know what their inventory is.  I don't buy that!  They should be able to post what is available for build real time.  Not that anyone else is doing it, but be a leader.  Hang your hat on being the only OEM to show real time what is available.  Do an inventory of heads, shafts, grips, and bar code each one.  Scan the bar codes when they are being boxed for shipment. Scan them in when inventory is received.  Bam..real time inventory?

My only real complaint is being told 3 times now that the components are arriving imminently and will ship end of week. I’m resigned to wait but don’t love the expectation management.

I ordered a set of ZX7 4-pw with KBS shafts and was told it’ll be less than two weeks. I ordered from the website and called them to make sure if all my components were in stock. Also ordered some custom Z-Stars and it says 15 days or less and they shipped in 5 days. So I guess it’s just hit or miss.

Hope to get word first of the week, but the folks at the place I'm ordering from have experienced frustration with their Srixon rep, lack of response to emails and long waits on the phone to talk with a live person.  Maybe they are short staffed?  Maybe folks are working from home and there are communication issues?  No idea, but the vibe isn't great now for some reason. When mine came with totally wrong shafts the first time, their rep tried to claim "someone" from the store called them to change the order, lol.  Not only didn't it happen, given the time, day - the only person that could have done it wasn't even at work. He had no reason to change my order, lol.  That's kid stuff from a OEM rep.  Those are the kind of tales that get me going a bit, but I'm still patient!  FootJoy, Titleist, Callaway - in the past I've always had excellent customer service experiences and no excuses.  When I ordered some Callaways three years ago, after the order was confirmed and shipped the guy I dealt with via phone and email specifically emailed me to let me know that they had goofed and not adjusted the lie angles 1 degree flat and if I wanted that done they would send me a shipping label so I could send them back, have them pay the bill for an adjustment or cancel the order and return the clubs.  Now that's service!  I accepted them and had someone else take care of it, no big deal and didn't make them pay for it.

Checked with Srixon c/s to see how long for a ZX7 MMT 105 stiff build. They replied LATE JULY because of supplier issues.

After reading through this thread, I am not optimistic lol. Ordered feb 9th 4-pw zx7s w/ KBS tour 130x +3/4” 2° upright and still no info from Srixon. I understand that things will be slow with everything going on, but like a previous poster said, it may be faster to just find a used set or a set in store and build to your specs.

Haven’t seen any posts about delays with the kbs tour shafts. May be worth it to contact CS to tell them you’re not chooses on the grips, as apparently that can be the source of the delay too. But who knows for sure.

Ordered a 3 wood cut 1/4 short and a driving iron cut the same way.  Order placed on 3/25.  Got the stock message:

I posted a few days ago that I had received my combo set without the ZX7 7 iron. DD said they are short on seven iron heads, so I'm not sure how they are going to complete any orders. I suppose the information is bad and they are actually our of 7 iron shafts (Project X LZ)

My ZX4's arrived on Saturday. Not many sets made it to UK yet apparently.
