Srixon Irons wait time.

My ZX5s shipped 2/18, scheduled delivery today. The only update is that the box left the origin facility in Anaheim on 2/18. No updates since. Obviously they wont be delivered today, but I'm seriously wondering if these things are still in California, a week later.

Mine were ordered Monday, prediction to dealer from Srixon was 4-5 weeks.

edit: so weird, they just arrived!

 

edit 2: sad face, my order doesn't have the 7 or 8 iron. time to call DD and find out what's up.

 

edit: 3: 7 and 8 irons are backordered, blah. On the plus side, the irons look amazing and I'm excited to get the rest of the set.

There was a pretty big train derailment in the area so maybe that has something to do with it? Everything I ordered in the past from srixon came by train from California (to Chicago) then trucked to the local fed ex. Just a thought.

I ordered 3 weeks ago and my wife just sent me the pic below. Ugh...I’m working late tonight...it’s killing me.  
 

FYI, I never received tracking info. None. I had no idea they were coming.

I got the 6, 9, P, AW irons today. Ordered 2/4 through DD and got them direct from Cleveland/Srixon.

Sorry, I edited it - ZX5. DD had no time frame for when the missing irons would be sent. If I have time tomorrow maybe I'll see what Srixon says.

I know how they ship from the coast and it's something I know a lot about in general(railroading). Yes there is a very slim chance your clubs were in the actual cars that derailed but highly unlikely. There were some severe delays with getting everything cleaned up plus a bunch of trains waiting to get thru. It just seems like the logical answer to your delays but I could be wrong.

The location they are in is like 5 miles west of there, so it seems likely that it could have been in there. If it had made it past, I’d assume it would be still moving. Sigh. 
 

my luck is they got destroyed and my new ETA will be August 2022.

Traffic is moving again thru the area so you should see a update soon unless your stuff was in the actual derailment. I'm almost 100 percent certain it's your reason for it being stuck in PA. Good luck

Everything was custom length, loft, lie, shafts, and grips. The order includes: ZX5s 4-GW, 19* hybrid, 15* 3 wood, ZX5 driver, and two Cleveland Zipcore wedges.

No they will not.

Judging by the trains id your stuff wasn't involved in the actual derailment but was stuck waiting to get thru after clean up. Maybe that will make you feel a little better about it.

I called anyways. “They’ve been in a container in a train in the same spot for 48hrs, but they’re still scheduled for delivery tomorrow by 10am”. Huh?!?

 

She both acknowledged theyre stuck and promised delivery tomorrow while telling me I won’t get them all at the same time. lol I’m way more confused now. 
 

all I do know is I won’t see them this weekend. I’m glad I sold my irons and I have a league I play in on mondays. 🤦‍♂️

I really don't understand the point of Srixon sending out half-completed orders to customers. In my view, all that does is greatly increase the opportunity to screw-up the order. And, not talking about a lie or loft being off. Wrong shafts, wrong lengths, wrong clubs, etc. And, not to mention with more packages going out, additional opportunities for shipping issues. 

 

I know, Covid. But, honestly that's starting to ring a bit hollow given we have been in this business environment for nearly a year now.

If you don't get everything you ordered that your supposed to get then maybe it was directly involved.

Srixon has done that for as long as I can remember. They will piece mail everything in bits which has to be expensive in the long run.
