The Stack System

Nervous System and fatigue wise - Baseline wouldn't be really any different from hitting a bucket of balls. From what I remember there are not any MAX effort swings and just kind of full swings without losing balance. It will test your actual driver swings though without a ball, so make sure you have some room. This will be the only time they do that until the very end of the program (or you do some of the special sessions during the program). You won't be going long driver mode on these, just trying to get a baseline at different speeds for AI to program a starting point and pick out the top programs it thinks you should start.

New to The Stack System but have done the putting and like it so far. About to start the swinging portion and had a question about the radar.  What club do you select when doing it?  I was thinking to use the driver but since the club is only the length of a hybrid do you select the U3 club setting?

My understanding is it doesn't matter what club you select (at least with PRGR but I could be wrong.

I did the baseline session today and it was surprisingly a lot of fun. I hit some drivers afterwards and felt super "unconstrained" in my swing, which was great. I was hitting some absolute bombs. At least some of them went straight haha.

Driver for baseline and testing swings. During the the program It will take the speed of the stack and only on 195 gram weight (close to driver head weight) it will then convert it to an "e-speed" aka educated guess on what your clubhead speed would be with driver based on what you input for "driver length" in settings.

Started up this week with the Heavy Hitter program. I had really good success with it last offseason but after a muscle tweak during some max swings, I chose to set it aside during the golf season and focus on my game and my general workout plan. Looking forward to it!

Overall, I've been a bit disappointed with the Stack.  I started about 4 months ago.  Before doing the regiment, I got on trackman and found my cruising speed at 109 and my absolute max was 112.  After completing the foundations course, it said my speed was up a few MPH, but I went back to the trackman and had identical numbers to beforehand.

I've now continued into the Neural Drive program and I've seen my stack numbers fall by 4-5MPH across the board.  So I'm not really sure what is going on now or what to do? I'll complete the Neural Drive program in a few weeks, but hard to see what the point of continuing would be if I sill haven't seen a gain.

Adding on to my initial assessment from earlier this year.

The Stack recommended Neural Drive again for me and I completed another course with ~1 mph increase in speed.  However, I believe the stack makes me a worse golfer.  I've found that when I try to max out my swing I tend to stand up out of my posture really early as I push from my feet.  I leave my arms way behind.  This causes me to lose my spine angle thrust my hips at the ball.  After a Stack session, it's not uncommon for me to hit shanks at the range the next day.

I find that when I try to max out the a stack swing while staying in posture, I lose 2-4 mph off my best.  I feel like that kind of defeats the purpose of the Stack? Overall, I'm not really sure what to do.  The Stack hurts my scores in the short to medium term and I don't appear to really gain any speed so this may be a failure from me.  I plan to shoot an email over to them and ask if they have any ideas, but this might be beyond their wheelhouse.

Yes - I would be interested in the response as I have heard Sasho will reply to people via email. He even did through the Stack email when I had questions about Footjoy shoes and if any coaches discounts that help with youth golf.

I have the same tendencies, at times while trying to stay in posture on absolute max out swings. I do focus separately on "mechanics" and "contact" practice in different sessions though as well.

Many times in an attempt to blend everything - before a session I will hit 10-15 or so balls with a 6 iron focusing just on one swing thought. Then do 10 or so drivers with face tape just focusing on contact and sequencing/feeling "flowly". Then do a Stack session and at the end hit 5 or so for contact and sequencing and then back to full rip on 5-10 balls w/radar.

Three sessions in and my first big takeaway is that I'm finding that swing tempo is way more important than just trying to gun it (particularly with the lighter weights). If I try to absolutely smash it, I end up 3-4mph slower often.

I'm also noticing that the Stack makes you concentrate a lot more on lower body, which the warmups also really reinforce. I'm enjoying it so far!

This is going to sound like a dumb question to those that get it.

There is a misread toggle for every putt. How do I know if it’s a misread or not? I’m a terrible green reader, but a terrible putter (that’s why I bought the app) but what would determine a misread vs a miss? Isn’t every miss requiring a toggle? Who is to say I am right ever?

Just re-read the PRGR manual and apparently what club you have selected in the monitor will affect the carry/total distance but won't affect anything else - so it seems like it's mainly important to get accurate carry/total distances but not important for clubhead speed.

I'm just back from the range and had an amazing session. I did the speed priming with balls special program, then did some work on sweetspot with foot spray.

It's easy to say I was definitely hitting some of the longest I have ever hit today - and that was with range balls. TopTracer was showing 260+ carry a few times and I was getting clubhead speed at 104mph a few times (when I did the driver baseline it was only 93mph).

It was really interesting doing the priming session right before hitting, as it focuses on max intent swings (hitting a 102mph average for the session) - which for me were all 30+ yard hooks. When I finished the priming session and focused on more of my "regular" swing, I was comfortably hitting 101mph and seeing arrow straight drives.

I'm playing a round on Monday, so I'll report back. For reference I've only done 3x of the foundations sessions so far. The best way to describe it is as if a speed governor has been taken off my swing.

Back from my first course experiment after the very positive driving range session. It was definitely a bit of a mixed bag today. I warmed up with the typical Speed Priming with Balls, and on the course I saw some really nice lasers that went dead straight, then also some some snap hooks (my miss when trying to do Max swings with balls). It was also around 40º for the entirety of the round.

I will say, on the shots that I connected with that went where I was aiming them I was seeing probably 10-12yds of better distance than my typical driver average, but I think I would need a more consistent round to be able to say how Stack has affected things. The course I played on today also required you to drive a cart, and I did feel cold/not warmed up between driver shots - so I'm honestly not sure it was an amazingly representative round of golf.

Same story as me!! My own fault, not warming up properly and/or not being conscious of making sure that old injuries (bad left thumb) didn't flare up again and after some initial gains, I had to put it to the side. Back in the gym and getting some movement the past few weeks and looking forward to getting going with it again.

Been hitting the gym hard again after switching programs and consistently hitting the same plateau number, falling, then repeat. Last session it felt like I had never swung a club before and sequencing was off. Had two hard workouts Monday and Tuesday and knew I needed a session today or else wouldn’t get one for a few more days with Thanksgiving. Was sore and figured I would just grind one out as I wasn’t feeling up to the task. I did some solid stretching and jumps/band work. Did some single arm swings and was faster vs normal. Tried a few heavy and few light and also all faster. Somehow threw up some of my highest numbers ever at multiple weights (same setting, garage, shoes, and everything) Speed is a mystery! Hopefully can stay past that plateau. Hit several on ball 123-125 mph CHS afterwards

These are some insanely impressive numbers. 114 with 235 is literal elite long driver stuff.

What's crazy is I hover between 111-115 with 195 and can hit 130mph club head speed with a ball. Gotta imagine you're due for a big breakthrough with driver soon once these freakish numbers synch up with your driver swing. This honestly looks like plenty of horsepower to hit 135-140 driver speed and cruise at 130mph.

I really appreciate it and I am hoping to just hit 130 (been the goal from the start)! I know it takes time and patience but man….. I have been trying all sorts of things in the process. I seem to be lacking in the percentile/speed department at lower weights so I have been adding in some extra swings after sessions + single arm ones. I kind of adjusted my workouts to add some more work on my weaknesses (hamstrings/hips/legs) + some plyometric stuff for warming up. We shall see what the final end of this program brings + next few weeks of workouts.

I just ordered one with their Black Friday deal, looking forward to using it over the winter. For the guys who have had it for a while, do the speed gains stay if you stop using it for an extended period of time? I previously used speed sticks and gained about 5mph but seemed to have slowed down again after not using it. I usually try to get stronger/faster during the off season but during the golf season here I try to play as much as possible.

I’m sure others may chime in - I mean it’s like with anything else such as lifting. If you have never lifted and can say bench 100 lbs then work your way to 200 lbs and stop for two months… you will not be able to bench 200 lbs. Maybe 130-160 lb range. However if you worked up to that and then did bench once or twice a week you could maintain 180-190 lbs much easier. Speed will be similar.

However. There are several people who still play and stick to programs.

I would also like to mention for the golfing months there is an optional “flex program” that is fewer swings but still getting you moving at high speeds for heavy golfers or lifters to still stick to a program.

If you choose a full program there are also “special sessions” you can click on at any time that have other sessions such as pre round and also tracking on ball. Now when you do those it will also push your next “workout or full Stack session” out a few days. All of it is in a way so you can golf and stack + workout.

There are videos of Viktor using it on the range after round 3 before a round 4 win the next day. Guys like Fitzpatrick using it at the Masters mid tournament.

Personally I would say the speed priming and speed priming with balls pre rounds are a weapon and will keep your speed in the golfing months.

Hi - I’m thinking to purchase the Stack System as a gift for my professional golfer. He has a Trackman. Do you know if the Stack App is compatible with Trackman? It seems silly to have to buy another smaller monitor to effectively use the Stack System, but it is unclear to me. I’d hate to buy this and find out I need a different radar device! Thanks so much

So they added speed training modes to the Mevo+ but Trackman couldn't figure out how to do it/chose not to do it?

Finally started back with The Stack after a 3+ month layoff.

I had a right partial knee replacement on 7/31. It’s been slow going since I developed 2 blood clots. But, I’m good now!

Still not fully healed, but was sick of not using the stack—following all of your journeys has been fun but torturous since I couldn’t use it. I’m definitely a lot slower  than when I initially began with it. Looking to get back my speed and add some.

love seeing how many of you are crushing it!
