Does this build show poor quality or anything to be concerned about?

I originally asked in the 0211 forum but haven't heard from anyone who knows about this stuff. I may be interested in these depending on the price so want to confirm whether or not this is something to be concerned with. I don't recall any of my iron sets having shaft labels so out of wack. Normally the labels work themselves highest to lowest (5-pw 2021 0211's) real gradual when laid out like that consistent with trimming. Here's the picture from the ebay listing so you don't need to click on the link. Looks like 4 iron to wedge left to right. Is this normal in some instances or is this something else quality wise? I'm  no club builder but in 69 years  I've never seen anything like it. 

I would run, fast.

That's what concerns me. Are some butt trimmed some tip trimmed or what is the deal with this? Hopefully a couple club builders will be able to chime in on this. Thanks

The stickers are applied after fact and don’t come from the factory set one way, so the sticker location isn’t necessarily a cause for concern. What would concern me is someone was haphazard enough to place them that way. Before buying I’d ask for more pictures and specifically would want to see if the stepping on the shafts matches expectations. From 8 on up you should see the first step get a half inch further from the hosel. If you can’t get additional, high-quality pictures I’d pass.

Good luck with sale - reshafts looked jacked!  Labels all over the place screaming wrong shaft lengths used throughout build.

Thank you for your concern. They weren’t reshafted. They were shipped that way feom PXG and have the invoice to prove it. The labels are jacked. I agree with that

I would be concerned no doubt. If that builder is that careless with the shafts, what are the odds he is going to trim the shafts correctly. Uh, zero.

 

Just clicked on the ebay auction - did he pull the photo of the whole set, it is gone.

 

Wait...sent that way from PXG? I seriously doubt that. I would sent them right back to PXG.

Thanks guys. He did pull the picture above from the listing. I could have reached out to the seller myself but I was almost certain they came that way from pxg considering the condition, which scares me itself. Figured I'd get some better answers here instead. I'm not going to try for it even if no one else bids. I do wonder if someone just threw whatever shafts into whatever heads. Sucks for him but I'm sure he will be able to sell them minus the picture I posted for you guys. I was fit into these specs so I now I'm nervous about going thru pxg for these at all if they are sending out stuff like that.

I agree it's wrong but he can play dumb now. He didn't know any better originally or he would have sent them back. Now he knows lol so I kinda feel bad for him now. Probably should have sent them back but most of us are not wrx's buying equipment and he didn't no any different. Maybe everything is fine and it's just the labels. I tried zooming in but can't see the steps in the shaft to see if they are way off. Doesn't kbs always laser print what shaft is what on the butt of the shaft? Guess I could order them without grips to make sure they are correct if I go that route. Definitely like the new 0211 line.

I’d have him line up the clubs in order and look at the steps in the shafts. You’d then be able to tell if they were built properly then the labels installed by a 3 year old.

KBS is one of the few if only shaft company that does not attach the labels.  They are sent separately on a sticker sheet.  

 

But yes, I agree they look terrible that way.  My OCD wouldn't be able to look at those for long.

Appreciate the responses. I would like to think pxg has much better quality control but I guess not.  Probably just a one off which I will avoid regardless of what the price may finish at.

No chance those left PXG like that. My guess the shaft labels came loose and the eBay seller put the shaft labels on. The ferrules look professional and original to PXG so no indication of a reshaft...

I agree. Those would not have made it out the door.

It’s just the labels, and PXG put them on that way. Brand new clubs, stock ferrule and the grips are an up charge option. 
you can call KBS and they will send you more stickers for free just like TT does. Replace them however you want wherever you want. 
Put the pitchforks down, golf companies have people making minimum wage that don’t even play golf building their clubs, not master builders.

Just went on the PXG website. The clubs you are looking at are on sale for $99/ club! The set you are looking at would be  $800 new!

I came here to say this, but I agree with the general concern regarding build quality, although i'd imagine they are fine.

Easy way to confirm is to ask him for the build spec sheet from PXG he would've received upon purchase. The stickers in the wrong place means nothing (as mentioned above about KBS), other than some poor QC at some point along the line. It certainly doesn't necessarily mean the wrong shafts are built on the wrong heads. 

 

Also, never assume a build directly from a OEM is without faults. Not gonna happen.
