Your favorite ball of all time?

What is the best ball you ever played? Or maybe that one ball that you wish would come back. 
Mine is the Callaway Hex Black. Absolutely loved that ball and just found a couple in an old bag.
My number 2 is the Z Star XV. Solid ball all around.

Dating myself but the original Spalding Tour Edition that Norman played was awesome.  Fond memories of that and my Yonex ADX driver. 👨‍🦳

This would have the be the most impactful ball of all time.  The original pro v1.  That ball was "it" in golf for so many years.  It wasnt about your clubs back then, it was about your ball.  Also loved the 2 tone pings as a kid and if ping would bring those back they would kill it.

Maxfli M3.  I really liked those things.  A lot.  Probably one of the reasons I chase feel in a golfball these days.

 

Honorable mention category:  Precept U-Tri Extra Spin. 

 

The U-Tri Extra Spin was the forgotten portion of that product line.  I found it to be a ridiculous ball, completely fit my game at the time.  It was essentially the TP5x before the TP5x was a glimmer within a dream.  I gained a club and a half with my irons with that ball, and <poof> it was gone.

I'm in the same boat as you.  I bought up 10 dozen Hex Black practice balls many years ago.  They are all gone now but one of my favorite balls of all time.  The Nike One Black was another favorite of mine, but you would have to generate some serious ss to get the most out of it.  My thing is firmer, higher compression balls that don't spin much.

Callaway HEX Chrome+.  Great ball and then they dumped it for those ridiculous SR balls.  Haven’t played a Callaway offering since.

Original Maxfli Revolution 90. I think it was the first true multilayer ( 3 ) made. Mid 90's, before the proV1.

I would go with the Taylor Made TP Penta for a multilayer ball. But I’m on the older side so if I go back a ways I’d have to say the Maxfli HT Balata.

Precept U-Tri Extra Spin followed very closely by current Bridgestone Tour B XS. Have tended to enjoy a great deal of success at flighting these models due to their exceptional stability in wind.

Maxfli revolution... more because it was my high school ball than anything... senior year I switched to the popular precept ball (00 was my number of choice, cause i was and am awesome).
