ok so my new GHIN comes out and I drop from 8.4 to 7.4...

 

so what do I shot today.. I lovely 87.... guys if poppyridge is like that on Nov27th...it's going to be brutal.. it felt like every hole was against the wind.

Played at Keene's Pointe today and shot an even par 72 with three birdies, a bogey, and a double. 36-36. I still can't break par for 18 .

even par 72...one of the better rounds I have ever had and just a couple off my personal best...not bad considering this was only my 3rd time out this yr...2 birdies, 1 eagle, 2 bogeys and a double...increased the sw of my driver by putting heavier screws and I was hitting my driver long and straight! Sure has me excited :)

From my backyard, Monday, 5 pars, 2 doubles and bogey for 40. I left 4 putts short. :)

 

Tuesday in league: 2 birds, 3 pars, 4 bogeys, for 2 over 37. I left 3 putts short, chipped in for par and bird. :ok:

Got out today (April 26th) for my first full 18 round post-op. I went through a inguinal hernia repair on April 13th. Conditions were good but cold and the winds were gale force on Lake Erie's north shore. Shot 75 (+5) with hitting only 7 of 12 fairways and 3 GIR. Good thing I've worked hard on the short game.

I just played Tuesday and shot a 94. Not my best day, but that's okay.... :ok: I'm getting better.... :bb: My drives are longer and now that I've taken the fairway metals out of my bag and just started using the hybrids I'm making cleaner shots. :)

 

I'm playing at a harder course today, so wish me luck, y'all. :)

Just got back from an event and shot 73-66-69. The 66 had 2 x 3 whacks is is the best round I have shot in the last 3 years.

I played yesterday and shot 72 35 in 27 holes. I was one under through the 27 and i'm trying to eliminate the bogeys from my game totally. Once I do that my handicap will drop drastically.

I shot 8 over 78 at Indianwood , i made a doublebogey on 18.

 

A little dissapointed in 18 's result, but i played very well.

I am able to play once a week and my ghin is 2.6 but I am closer to a 5. My last three round, 75-75-94!!!!!! I started the 94 with doubles on the first 5 holes and shot 52 on the front. I think I hit one fairway all day and that was because I bounced it off a tree and back into play. This was the first time I had seen the course and It was by far the most narrow course I have ever played!!!!! We walked off the ruff at 6 steps befor you got to the trees. The widest fairway was like 35 yards!!! I have been to HELL and it sucks!!!! Oh well its just golf, still got to go home to my daughter. I guess a 90's round is due every 3-4 years just to put me in check!!!

This weekend i shot 87 / 79 at Alvamar CC. I hate how good and bad I can play in the course of two days.

yesterday i shot 65, my all time best. I had shot 68 three times but never lower then i shot that. My first 1 bogey round. I had 8 birdies and 1 bogey. It felt so good

Shot 71, 1 under par, in the Monthly Medal off the plates. Played off six and had 65 nett. CCR was 73. Was two under on the last tee and made a bogey to finish 1 under, a good day. 4 birdies 3 bogies.

I shot 108's on my first two courses of the year. One day the irons were working, but the putter and driver were off. The next day it was the opposite. Also went to a 9-hole Executive course today, shot a 44, which was a little rough, but it was kind've kiss and giggle golf.

Alvamar CC!!!!!!! I could not hit the ball anywhere on the club face. But you know all I could do was laugh and enjoy being out there. I could have been mowing the lawn or something else but I got to play, correction, attempt to play golf with my friends.

So you were playing my home course. Now you get a peice of what I deal with every day. Sunday was the first 18 (well actually 27 holes) that I did not have at least one double bogey out there. The problem is that I did not make any birdies either. I missed at least four makeable birdies. I will not complain about my 79 out there. Since on Saturday I shot 87!

 

If you are not hitting the ball well and placing it in the right spot on the fairway you are going to get eaten alive out at Alvamar CC. It is the hardest 6800/6250 yard course you will find around here. That is for sure.

 

Where was the pin on #4 that day? What a green.

I saw so much of that course that I can't remember #4. The only thing I can tell you is the shortest way from 18 green to the parking lot!!!!!! Anyone that shoots 77 or lower there is one hell of a stick. Like I said, my buddy fired back to back 65's at branson creek and was only able to get it around alvy with a 84!!! He knows how to play.

73 (+1). Even on the 18th tee, smoked my drive, 9 iron 2nd shot to a par 5 - and I took 6...

 

And I haven't broken par for nearly 2 years...

Shot a 111 today, very frustrating for me as I had high hopes. I'd like to consistantly break 100 by the middle/end of summer. I thought I had a shot today, since I've been at the range alot and practicing putitng everynight. Looks like it wasn't meant to be. Maybe I can hit the range tonight before work.

69-73 on a par 68. I was frustrated as I knocked it out of bounds twice in the second round and missed a lot of short putts. Still its early season and so inevitably my game won't be quite sharp enough yet.

Shot a 65 at my schools qualifier. Lipped out so many putts at least 4. But it was still a good day
