I have been playing with my brother a lot the past year, but never noticed what kind of irons he had. I knew he had bought new Cobra Rad Driver and FWs, but never pad attention to his irons. I am not one who looks at other folks clubs or asks really. I don't really care. If you tell me we can talk about it, but otherwise not a concern. I knew they were an off brand.

Well we played with one of my friends last week and my friend Matt asked my brother "Are those JR clubs?" ....Yes. He had been playing with Jr clubs. I thought they looked a little short, but as I mention I never paid much attention. I did find it odd that I hit every club about 30- 50 yards farther and our swing speeds aren't that different.

So the very next shot of my brothers...he was in fairway about 133 yards out. He has his 7i. Matt says here hit my TM Speed blade PW. Brother says no way I am reaching with a PW...thats a 7i for me. He swung...he pured that thing so beautifully. Perfect compression. Flew the green!. Next thing you know he is in the market for TM Speed Blades or something similar.

I coudnt believe I had not notice in 6-8 rounds with this man that he was playing Jr Irons.

Yap the first set of clubs I ever bought was in 2019, and it was a set of Dunlop Jr's. I had no clue. I just thought I was getting a good deal on a full set of used clubs...

43 on a par-3 executive course.  I kept overshooting the greens and took some mad penalty strokes in the meantime.

47 - 48, 95. Conditions were sloppy but no excuse for four 3-putts. The putting was an anomaly but the driver is a liability. Average length is only around 200 yards and risk is greater than reward. Sure, FIR stats look great but the data is skewed. Every second shot is like a hybrid or more which makes scoring difficult and approaches suffer. Trying a new driver soon for some help, but in reality the driver swing needs an overhaul.

Shot a 79 with 3-three putts, 1-four putt, and 2-balls hit in hazards off the tee. Also, had 135 yards into the green (120 to cover the bunker) for third on Par 5 9th, came up 1 yard short, hit bunker shot over the green, then tapped in for a easy triple. 🤪 All mistakes easily avoidable, but there is my golf game right now for ya. 😂🤣😂

Had my second week of league last night, and shot a 40, after starting with 5 straight pars and GIRs. My last 18 holes, I've hit 15 GIR and have no birdies to show for it. I'm leaving myself too far away from the hole and my lag putting just hasn't been there. Once I get the speed down here soon, these scores will start to drop a tad. It's early, and I'm just trying to find a little bit of a groove.

Lots of positives, just gotta get some putts to drop.

I've always wondered what an appropriate birdie-to-GIR ratio should be, because I play rounds similar to yours and then start trying to force birdie putts in which makes the whole thing worse.

Yeah, you just have to let them come to you. Once one or two fall, I know I really start to gain more confidence and hitting solid putts just starts to come back. Part of it is just getting used to different green speeds at the beginning of a season.

I have rounds where I hit 11 or 12 greens and make 3 or 4 birdies. It's really kinda all over the place.

Played the executive 9 hole goat track and bogeyed every hole except 1 (par).  Lipped out the birdie putt on my par.  Hadn't played in a month, so it felt good to be out there.

Played my first golf of the year. Shot a 93 on a Par 71 . One shot was right on line but sailed 12 yards farther than the pin. The best shot of the day and it wasn’t on the green. Close but a day that saw no GIR . Very few Fairways hit . All in all a great day spoiled by golf.

85 (44/41) with 32 putts. Good score for me on a hard course. Birdied the hardest abd the easiest holes. Hit only 3 fairways, but mostly manageable misses.
Breaking 80 is my goal this year. 16.1 hcp, but The Grint app (where I track all my rounds) says I‘m a 12.0.

I'm "S". Played from the blues. Was pretty wind, and very soft, but nevertheless, wasn't pretty... Had a blast though!

Beautiful day to golf for the 1st time with my new clubs. I felt I should have done better but it wasn’t the clubs fault. Maybe I should start thinking about playing from the senior tees Very rusty but overall I will take a 39 for 9 holes anytime. Nice to see the warmer weather finally get he

Got to play a quick 9 before work today.  Unfortunately, I had a couple of blow-up holes...recorded a 10 before picking my ball up, then shot a 7 on the immediate next hole.  Honestly, from there on out, it was little more than pars and bogies...just, those 2 blow-up holes.

The shot that kept me coming back?  Totally drained a 30' putt a few holes later.  It was a thing of beauty, watching the ball hug the curves and breaks before that soft "dink" off of the pin.

42, 53 - 95. Played a new course today, greens were fantastic. Fun track but the back 9 got me bad. Couple blow up holes made the score worse than the overall performance. Conditions were not great. Some rain, some wind, 5.5 hour round. Just lost focus for a little while. But, had a birdie on 8 and the driving was consistently good. Buddy in my group had 2 eagles which was amazing, happy I helped the read on both of them.
