Ventus Red vs Diamana TB

Looking for feedback on these two shafts if anyone has tested side by side. Spin, dispersion numbers etc

Not TB, but Kaili and Diamana B- still both MCA Diamana blue shafts like the TB though.  In fairways- without getting on a launch monitor- the ball flight characteristics seem very similar to me.  Kaili maybe slightly easier to coax left.  Feel wise- the Kaili/B have a lot more of it.  Neither feels bad at all, Ventus Red just feels a little less "active" if that makes sense.  I love them both, currently have the Ventus Reds in the bag though just because I like new stuff sometimes and the red looks sweet.  I could easily be convinced to put the Diamana B's back in the back though, especially if I started to lose stuff right.

Interesting that you experience the Red as a "less active" blueboard. Overall profiles are similar, but the Ventus Red being softer in the butt, indicating it'll feel like a more active shaft with a "kick" than will the TB. Just goes to show it's different for everyone.

 

I play the TB in my driver and it's a very linear feel. It's definitely a blueboard, just tighter.

I don't know if you can say it's softer in the handle without units or measurements on the axes.  Fujikura classifies the red handle as "ultra stiff," for what that's worth

I agree. I have a Red 9x and there’s no softness in the handle at all. I play the Black in my driver and hybrid, and the handle sections are very similar. There is definitely a pronounced mid kick with the Red though with a very stable tip section.

There are units there, it's just not labeled. The X axis is length along the shaft and the Y axis is the calculated stress value. If you want to read his methods (which are industry standard of measure) he has several articles under the "technical articles" dropdown here:

I have the Diamana Blueboard 83 x5ct "S" and Whiteboard 83 x5ct "S" in my golf shaft cabinet, but I sold the Redboard.  I played Blueboard for a number of years in Titleist & SLDR TP heads. 

 

Since early 2020 been playing Ventus Red 5 (59g "S") Series in 9.5 TS2 Driver and 7 (71g "S") Series in TS2 16.5 wood, and a hitter the ball as opposed to swing the club, making the extra stiff handle, mid-section stiffness and tip stiffness very important to me hitting pretty drives, and seldom missing the fairway.  The only other shaft I have played that feels similar to V.Red is PX6C12 Tour Issue, except it's heavier at 66g. It has a very stiff handle, as well as mid-section and a stiff tip.

 

From my experience, the Diamana TB series specs are quite diverse, so much, so it does NOT compare to Ventus Red.  DBB and TB Bend profiles are different from Ventus Red's 5 Series Handle, mid & Tip section which feels stiffer.  I say that because I hit it VRed further with greater control than DBB.
