In think this so-called “ squeak “ problem could be used as an aid to cease being a couch-potato. After all, didn’t the mouse in Tom and Jerry squeak and that was a popular programme ?

To me Morgan announces just like she played,  very pessimistic.  After a while it can get annoying.  She points out all the possible negative outcomes and hardly anything positive.  There should be a balance.    Her voice can get annoying at times and when she does end up in front of the camera, it’s like “The Golden Girls”  every time!!!

It's funny but most of the time I don't who is talking. As long as the commentary is not too distracting, I don't really care.

I think Morgan’s commentary is fine.  As other have said, the voice is “annoying”.  I may be getting de-sensitized, but it does not seem as bad as it was at first.  I can handle it once a week, but probably not being married to a voice like that.   (FYI, I find my own voice annoying)

I'm sensing that as the announcers gain experience, they mimic their counterparts on the men's tour.

No, not as negatively judgemental as the men's announcers, but announcing things that I can see with my own eyes.

There’s becoming signature MP moments that I find too funny not to laugh. For example, we all watch a 10ft putt go in on, say, hole 11. She doesn’t say a thing. You think you’ve survived the moment without her brilliant analysis. Then the replay. She gets overly excited like it’s the winning putt of a major :: describes the stroke, the speed, the break, the way it goes in the cup. Sight to behold. It’s sounds like an audition for Jimmy Nantz.

I have started looking forward to the first camera shot from the booth just to see what Morgan is going to wear that day.  I burst out laughing whatever day it was last week when she wore yellow.

Morgan Pressel is alright, but her supporting cast of Grant Boone and Tom Abbot aren’t helping.  They just seem like a couple of waiters with empty trays…

Grant is fine. He's grown into the role nicely since taking over for Terry. 

 

Tom is one of the funniest commentators in golf. Wicked, albeit dry, sense of humor.

I'm trying hard to think of all the positive outcomes of a golf shot, I can only think of one really. It goes where you wanted it to, fairway, green, cup.

Negative outcomes seem to be abundant,left, right, long, short, bad bounce, water, trees, adjacent fairway for some people. I feel the possible negative outcomes easily outweigh the positive ones, so yep, I bet she does point out more negatives than positives.

Angela is a nice addition. Would be nice if they expanded the coverage to have three feature groups. With the prize money increasing, a bit of it could be used to play for the extra camera group.

Have you noticed that the commentators have been instructed to use each other's names more? So we get a lot of "yes, Tom", "what do you think Morgan" and the rest of it. Unnecessary but it does make it a bit more friendly sounding.

Morgan was on Sirius XM yesterday afternoon doing a spot for the KMPG this week.  She gave some input on the Men's US Open and Clark's performance.  Chantal McCabe asked her to name a LPGA pro who can close it out when things are tight.  She struggled mightily, and then the best she could do was Minjee Lee in last year's US Women's Open.  Um...she won that by 4 shots and was never pushed the entire day.  The player in 3rd was 6 shots back.  Not exactly sure that's like the best example.
