Hope it helps. Maybe a call to them might be warranted. I had an issue when I first got it and they have troubleshooting things they can talk you through. Good luck it stinks this happened to you.

What do you mean by that. I had my GC3 for over a year and just connected it Bluetooth for the first time through the app. Prior to that I hadn’t used Bluetooth ever.

I was having trouble with establishing a Bluetooth connection, so I went to the manual to see what I might have done (or I might need to do) to fix that. Other than stating a condition not applicable to me where Bluetooth would be disabled, Bluetooth is not mentioned in the manual at all. There isn't even a specifications statement saying that it is or is not supported.

 

That is what I meant.

ps. I was finally able to establish a Bluetooth connection (I think). I have no idea what changed. It seems that (but again I am not sure) the Foresight apps do not use system services to make a BT connection as the bluetooth signal from the BLP never shows up on any of my BT devices (3 of them) and even when (apparently) connected, that never shows up on the BT settings screen. Finding out if this is normal or not is where the easter egg hunt starts.

Key points to remember:

• Power cycle:

  The primary method for a hard reset on a GC3 is simply turning it off completely by unplugging the power source, waiting a short period, and then plugging it back in to restart.

I sent my unit back to Foresight 

 

Turn around time 2 weeks - pretty good.

Foresight received my unit yesterday and sent a diagnostic update yesterday afternoon.

 

Repair includes a new

Battery

LED Board

Coin Cell 3V

Probably not the news you were looking for but with all the technology and sensors in these things that’s not too terrible. Did they cover shipping at all?

I’m impressed with communication and speed.

 

I think it will be basically a new unit.

Obviously not ideal but happy to hear they were able to figure it out.

Wondering if anyone can help me as support is taking forever at Foresight. 
I have the gold subscription bushnell launch pro. Right now I use my Ipad to run fsx pro by connecting via ethernet to the ipad that is running on the home wifi. It works flawlessly. The issue is when I end the session it always says error device not recognized and thus does not save the session to FSX Live. 

 

This also occurs if I use the foresight app on the phone for a my bag assessment connected via bluetooth. Works perfectly fine, and then once I go to upload session to cloud, it says device not recognized. 

 

Has anyone run into this recently and found a fix? All apps are on current version and the BLP is also up to date as well.

I would try shutting down the monitor first. I can't speak to using the phone but when the ipad is connected to the monitor it is not connected to the internet, once you shut the device down the connect is lost and the it should go back to the wifi where you can upload it to the cloud.

Thank you - I will give this a try today. I finally got with support yesterday and they didnt' suggest this and everything they did suggest didn't work

It may be this?

 

During an FSX pro session on the iPad your iPad is connected to the BLP on the same wifi network.  

 

So when you end the session you do not have access to the internet as your BLP is still connected to the iPad on Wifi.

 

So try ending the session and answering the question "do you want to send to FSX live?" as no.  If you answer yes it will crash.

 

After you end the session, go to settings and connect the iPad to the internet again (in the wifi settings)

 

Now find your session in the session history (you can do this from the splash page) and you can now upload it, do reports, email it etc

I am looking to purchase a Launch Pro to use with my high school team.  We have an indoor hitting area but not enough room for my Mevo+ so just sold that.

after the trial is up is there any app that has a range feature?  Not worried about sim play but would like a range to be able to display their ball flight

Unfortunately you are stuck with only the screen output  (without a subscription). Without a subscription the device does not put out any data on any of its signal outputs (wifi, USB, bluetooth).

 

$500/year is a lot to pay just for range software, but the hardware is very nice.

Nice! I'll be curious how long these units last shots wise, I use mine quite often I think I'm around 16000

So my BLP has always registered lower numbers than it should.  Side by side with any other unit it spits out about 4-7% lower ball speed and distance.  i've lasered targets and checked actual yardages etc...  I didn't use it for months and took it back out yesterday for the 1st time.  I updated it and now the spin numbers are all crazy low overall but sometimes just ridiculous.  This was a shot that flew 69 yards into a 10-12mph wind and launched what I would say is far lower than 34...maybe 30 tops.  it hit a green, bounced forward and backed up about 5 or 6 feet.  Ball was a tour practice titleist and fairly new.  Unit is at the same level as the ball and in the middle of the hitting zone. Basically things are getting even worse with updates. I also think the side spin is the opposite of what it should be.  What is wrong here?  (yes i'm using yellow balls but ive put another unit side by side and the numbers on mine are always off)

Have you done any recalibration on it recently?

not since i last used it in the fall. I’ll do it again. The unit was dead so i had to do a battery performance calibration when i charged it up. Then i updated it.

That might help. I do the sensor calibration a few times a year.

From what I can see 'the latest' update to the Foresight App is actually a Beta version of a Foresight App replacement. From the email that I got 2 days ago ...  dave
