Cobra 2022 Plans

Anyone have info on Cobra's plans for the upcoming release season? I know the blades are new and assume the King Tours are sticking around for another year (or two); maybe a Forged Tec and Utility update along with their SGI stuff & woods?

I should think that some updates to One Length as mentioned by Bryson in his youtube a little while ago. I think it would be the year that they update their MB / CB line (even though the CBs are these best in the game right now, hands down). Maybe a new forged tech but, those are great clubs for all parties. I don't know how they could improve them. Obviously a new driver / woods set since the hybrid just got an update. Maybe some wedge work as Bryson also mentioned in his youtube. And more than likely an update to their brand new putters with colors, shaft options, etc. etc. etc. 

Puma is releasing new kicks tomorrow which isn't exactly coinciding with Cobra but, they're synonymous with one another.

That was what I was told a while ago. But I have not heard nor seen a pip about them sense.. Maybe like many things. They are delayed.

You’re confusing playing ability with marketability. Rickie is still very marketable.

The King Forged Tec one lengths can't be improved. Most money irons I've ever hit. Shocked when I miss a green these days.

Will they release another CB / MB line. The RF blades are lovely but niche(I know blades are niche nowadays but you know what I mean😂)

would love to see a new CB  and MB line with slight modifications to present. Then I think they have every base covered

Nothing wrong with the rails. I love them!😊- in fact I'm disappointed they dropped the rails in their latest Hybrid offering.

The rails baffle me. Our local store can shift drivers and irons for fun but the rails put customers off the hybrids and fairways. I have never seen any benefit in them.

I feel generally the same, but for some reason, I hit the speedzone fairways really well..

I don't know if there are any benefits to the rails, but I have the F8+ 4-5 wood and I don't see it leaving my bag. It is an absolute fairway finder when needed and very easy to hit off of a variety of lies.

Would be a massive call to get rid of something that goes back to the companies founding, think reviews have shown a clear benefit in turf interaction and keeping the club square from avg lies. They have made a change this year with the new baffler and big tour fairway which don't have rails.

The King Forged CB/MB are no longer showing up on the site FWIW. A CB that could combo with either the new MB or the King Tour seems like the only gap in their lineup, but I would still think at least a cosmetic update of Forged Tec might also be on the way to keep it current.

The rails on hybrids and higher lofted fairways is nails.  I have a F6 Baffler with an Attas 9s in it and I'll never get rid of it!

I don't know what they'll do, but I'm looking forward to finding out. Their lineup has been so, so good this year. The Big Tour 3W and Tour 5W, especially, are just awesome -- and pair together so perfectly that I thought they deserved a mention. The 3W hits absolute missiles and the 5W is a short-shafted, almost hybrid-looking club with the rails that feels great, sounds great and is playable out of pretty much any lie.

I'm hoping they keep moving forward in regards to the engineering of the clubs. The additive manufacturing (3d printing) could be a game changer in all club categories, allowing them to make really good looking clubs with a lot of hidden tech. The way they are approaching designing clubs reminds me a lot of the mountain bike industry where manufacturing technique and material selection are always on the bleeding edge, which I think is super cool. Think of a one piece 3d printed iron where tungsten can be printed inside a carbon steel body with no ports or screws or different color metal. Could be a way to push forward the player iron category, that hasn't seen much innovation because of the specific needs list which is generally a single piece forging.

Bryson was awesome at the Ryder Cup!  The Cobra driver line has always been solid. Ball speeds are up 5 mph over any other driver that I tested on my trackman!

Got to see the new lineup this week.   Lots of good stuff as usual from Cobra.

 

Drivers, new name moving on from RadSpeed a name that I think many will like.    3 main models one for each type segment as you would guess. 

Irons Same as above, but with one very exciting addition to the lineup that I think will really get some buzz and generate the most excitement of the entire release.

 

FW/Hybrids mostly tie  into the driver lineup.

Wedges not much new

Putter we saw the new releases this summer, they can't keep them in stock, they are doing so well.
