Spider X Hydro Blast Short Slant Neck

Where is the hype for this?? Rory just won with it. The only short slant available is that ugly copper color and everyone is aware of how badly these chip. 
 

Will this come out next year? Or only tour issue?

im guessing they know what they’re doing… wouldn’t sell the new Ex’s if there was a short slant X in hydro blast.

That was my only gripe with the Hydroblast head is I wish they made it in slant neck. However the flow neck has been a pleasant surprise. Hope TM comes out with the slant neck version.

I really like how the short slant neck sets up. Maybe it’s the reduced offset too. The shaft just feels so direct.

Seems like the Hydroblast are selling well. I haven't seen a single bend for sale on @TaylorMade Golfwebsite in months for a righty. Wolff has been using the single bend model.

I am obsessed with the Spider X.

 

The Tour version only came in copper it seems, and some blues. The only Tour version in hydroblast I can find is Rorys.

 

SO... I am building my own using my own short slant hydroblast and a donor Tour issue Copper ... watch this space.

 

But I just love the putters.

Still gaming been gaming it for 2 years. The retail ones came with a chrome shaft but I re-shafted to a black KBS shaft. I like how this hydro blast looks compared to the other finishes they've come out with and it holds up very well.

Well you're +2 so it must be working.  I'm going to put the black KBS in mine as well.  The chrome isn't the same.  What weights do you have?

Yeah I’ve put a gloss black KBS in mine too

 

I’m using 2x 7g weights and it feels so much more stable than the stock 2g weights

I've tried 2, 6 and 12.  6 (7) feel the best IMO as well.

Same as you two I've been using the 6g weights. Also tried 2g and 12g but 6 definitely felt the best. Been using 6g weights in a Spider X for probably 4-5 years now with previous models. I use one of the old Winn Medalist midsize grips not the Superstrokes so swing weight comes in heavier around E3.5-4
