Which main parking lot would that be considered to be closest to the house? Was hoping to go in the North entrance based off of this thread saying it is better but may have to do South. Thanks for the help.

Is this address confirmed for this year? This would be more convenient in terms of location compared to last year (Different house, at 2633 Oakland Ave).

Sorry, don't know, it was the house in 2023; didn't need it last year

 

Edit:  I forgot, I did go by the Oakland Ave house last year, just to check it out.  I wonder if they moved further from the course to satisfy Georgia's scalping proximity law.  If it's Oakland Ave again, parking then walking to the house, and back, would be a trek; 1.5 miles each way.

Yep that's it. Last year on the Saturday I drove to Oakland Ave to collect the tickets, drove back to my AirBnB (was staying a few miles south of the SH House), then Uber to the course so I could have a few beers. Was a bit of stuffing around and would be easier if the SH House was walking distance to the course, but as you said maybe they are careful not to encroach.

I don't think I'd pay that to play AN at the moment, let alone stand around and watch.  $500 to play there, absolutely.

Oh man...now that's a conundrum. 2 grand is basically the cost of my buddies golf trip which includes 5 days and 8 rounds of golf. Would we all give that up for 1 round at Augusta?...I have to think everyone would say yes without hesitation.

 

But, agreed, I wouldn't pay that just to set foot on the grounds, no matter how hallowed they be.

Except this is before fees. Looks like prices are even higher. Thur/Fri is above $3k before tax now. Crazy!

A major plus to actually going is now I’ll never watch the Masters the same again. I have a new appreciation for the massive elevation changes, course layout, depth of bunkers, undulating greens that TV can’t capture. I know all the holes now from every tee box and green. The two grand spent will increase in value with my memories. It’s worth every penny. Read the book Die With Zero.

The scale of the elevation changes was the most shocking thing to me. TV gives you absolutely no idea how big they are.

Was listening to a podcast this morning and they said the elevation change on the property is 150ft from top to bottom.  That's surprisingly the same as my home course.

I love standing by the green complexes. The swells in 14 are mind boggling for greens of that speed. 6 is crazy as well but it is talked about. 14 doesn't get enough air time imo.

I was referring to the chance of a total washout and not being able to get in on that basis. Is there another reason they'd be rejected? Do you have to show ID now along with the tickets or something? I haven't been since 2018, so didn't know that....

I’m legitimately confused if anyone watches weather closely. I’m going on Monday and watching the weather. Right now most weather channels are agreeing 80% chance. But, some offer hourly and on one site I only see a 25% chance across different hours of the day with that view. How come it can say 80% for the day but basically nothing hourly?

Friday and Saturday pricing has absolutely exploded.  >$3k b4 fees/taxes

Saturday over past 2 weeks prices are up $1.6K b4 fees/taxes.  Gonna take > $4k all-in

Sunday not as bad but ~$3k all-in.

 

Just incredible pricing.  Wow.

The short answer is that there is an 80% chance that it will rain at SOME POINT in the day, even for 5 minutes. The hourly will show a lot lower chance because they don't know exactly WHEN it will rain, just that there is an 80% chance that it will at some point in the day. It can be confusing; I'm friends with a Meteorologist and it's always fun watching her eye start twitching when people start discussing the weather for events we're attending.

What's your recourse if you buy tickets on StubHub or wherever and get there and they deny you entry because the tickets have been cancelled by ANGC?
