Favorite stock shaft

I just bought a replacement Ping Tour 65R from a member on here for my g400 max. My puppy ate the grip end of my club when the pandemic started. I had a plug put on chewed shaft and have played it for the last 2 seasons this way. My driver measures at 43.75" today. I wanted to get back to a longer shaft to help pick up some much needed yardage. I really love this shaft, and I think the Ping tour shaft is probably my second favorite stock shaft of all time. The best stock combo ever made in my opinion is still the Rapture v2/Blueboard.

 

My question is what is your favorite stock shaft ever made, and what clubhead was it paired with?

Nostalgia speaking strongly here: Harrison Striper in my Dunlop Loco driver circa 2003(?) That pairing just fit so well at the time, consistently long and never more than 1 fairway offline 🤣

My frame of reference is much more limited than others' here. Two that have stood out to me this year, though: Project X HZRDUS RDX Blue, offered as stock in several brands' drivers and fairway woods. And my favorite stock hybrid shaft is the Aldila Rogue Black that you can get in Ping G425 hybrids. 

 

I actually also really like Ping's Alta CB 65X as a fairway wood shaft. I typically play stiff shafts, and don't get along with the stiff Alta CB for whatever reason, but the X works well for me.

 

My least favorite stock shaft I've hit this year is the Tensei AV Raw Orange. Cannot hit the thing. Nothing but short, high-spinning moon balls.

Prolaunch Red.  I still have my G10 9* driver with a Prolaunch Red, and it still goes 290 yards down the middle.  I keep it as my back up old trusty when my swing gets wonky with my current driver.

The Tour Edge Exotics Fujikura Fuel Red 60g stiff.  Especially in a fairway wood and hybrid.  Still have them in the bag despite being more than a few years old.  Introduced somewhere around 2014 I believe.  

 

Mid to High launch, mid torque, mid spin and when butt trimmed really stiffens the whole shaft despite the low to mid weight.   Trimming the tip will reduce a hook.

 

Have tinkered with this shaft a bunch.  It has not worked as well for me as a driver shaft though.

 

There is a Tour Edge Exotics Fujikura Fuel White Tour shaft as well that is about a full flex stiffer with lower launch and spin

 

Both can still be found as New Old Stock on Ebay for between $60-$70.   Also, PGA Tour Superstore stocks two new production shafts that are very similar, minus the Exotics logo, for about $60 -$70.

 

According to Fujikura these shafts are similar to the current Fujikura Pro 2.0.

I'm the same as you.  Ping Tour is hands down the best "stock" shaft ever.  It has all the grit to stand up to some serious speed if needed.  I played one for years in a Ping G30 LST driver.  I kicked myself for years for not buying a demo G-stretch with a Tour 80 in it from my store's fitting cart.  I don't know what magic pixy dust was in that combo, but I hit that thing dead as nails straight every time like 270 --- as long as my total driver on a good day --- off the deck.  The shaft was also way too stiff for me to (X), but it worked.  I hemmed and hawwed, and then I heard the G400 was coming out and hated it, it was short and spinney.  Then my baby was gone and sold when I went back for her.
