It is amazing to me how many posters here seem to know how another person should lead their life.  LOL, read more books!  Don't make videos!  Don't do speed training! Practice your wedge game!  Don't eat so much!  Don't work out!  Possibly what they are really saying is; "Be like me because I am great!".  And yet here we all are posting a lot of nonsense on a worthless golf forum...

The point is this:

I think BDC could find a number of better things to do with his time other than making videos and posting them to YouTube.

 

That advice goes for about 99% of the general population.

I like most of his videos.. Like the fact that he's working hard to get better ..

 

 

But the last video does come out as very conceited..   Self claim..

Yeah maybe, maybe not. Him posting his vids opened up this type of criticism 10x. 
 

To me it’s more documenting his training than anything else. It’s not like he’s filming or editing himself, but I’m sure there is some time, beyond what we see on film, that is used to plan and set up these vid ideas. 
 

On the other side of the coin, making videos could be forcing him to do training/practicing that he otherwise wouldn’t have done. Bryson does say golf gets boring to him and these vids could be holding him accountable and rejuvenate his passion.

you literally just suggested “ reading” as an alternative to YouTube.   Could be reading about dinosaurs , hair dye , pre ww2 Germany , different soil types , and or lice.  Anything.  Just read.   Lol.

Ha! Thanks!  I watched it in like 5 minutes with lots of 15-second tap jumps forward.

 

It sounds like he thinks BD was very possibly using something like hgh. Cites the gain of 15+ pounds of muscle (along with all the fat) as unusual. But he also wasn’t that adamant about it. 
 

Easy to discount most of his argument vs he just stuffed his face, had good newbie gains, got fat too. and lifted naturally.

I mean I assume people in this tread look at YT and the clickbaity titles and thats exactly what it is.  He might have had a busy week and unable to put together the standard 10 minutes video, but consistency is key in getting YT subs, so he probably just put out something random.  He hardly even talks about it in the video, mostly him just mushing drives.

 

I honestly really like what Bryson is doing with his social media exposure.  It's more than just a random instagram post or something (next best account is Phil's Twitter) like that, plus I think what he's doing is the most marketable, ripping bombs sells.  Just ask Phil.

 

After reading up on the shotlink  analysis etc., pros can improve the most by hitting it farther, he sees that and accepts it, and he's doing what he needs to do to get there.  At the end of the day he's a golf nerd, who loves playing golf and getting better more than anything else, and I think we can all appreciate that to some capacity even if you don't like the way he does it, you can appreciate what he's doing/done thus far.

I tried to listen to it but it was tough.  From the sound of it Bryson was eating 6k+ calories (probably not good macros) of course he's going to add weight and a lot of it.  No way he wasn't having several thousand calories sit in him at the end of the day.  I will say lately in his more recent videos he looks like he's dropped some of the bulk, which could be attributed to just cleaning up the diet.
