Same, I mean I want to like the guy, at times I actually really like the guy, then he goes full cringe every 4 months or so. He’s just a putz, no other way to put it. 😜

My thoughts exactly with the exception of he goes full crying more often than every 4 months.

It is amazing to me how many posters here seem to know how another person should lead their life.  LOL, read more books!  Don't make videos!  Don't do speed training! Practice your wedge game!  Don't eat so much!  Don't work out!  Possibly what they are really saying is; "Be like me because I am great!".  And yet here we all are posting a lot of nonsense on a worthless golf forum...

I think that we are commenting, and questioning, Bryson's self absorption with his strength training.

I have no problem with his strength training.  But for all I care, he can keep it personal.

This was a fascinating explanation.  I’ve followed Christian for years and he’s always struck me as a guy that know his stuff

Where you see that?

I don’t think he bench or squat. Says compound moves scare him.

On mobile can’t link but on his YouTube channel from about 4 months ago.

Seems to be be working out with some yahoos who don’t have a clue what they are doing, this can only end in injury, beginning to think he’s not as smart as I had thought

He works with Greg Roskoph.  LOL I can assure you that Greg Roskoph knows what he is doing.  Bryson credits Roskoph and Muscle Activation Technique with saving his career.  Based on my experience with M.A.T. and my own chronic lower back pain I believe that Bryson may well be correct in that assessment.  I believe that he has been able to attain his high club head speed without injury so far because of his work with Roskoph.

Golfers just have zero clue what lifting heavy weights and eating a lot will do to your body. If he’s on PEDs he’s done a terrible job. He doesn’t have an impressive physique for a professional athlete that lifts with trainers and has a nutritionist. He put on mostly water weight and fat. This video is 100% for attention.

Btw I’m a Bryson fan.

He looks exactly what somebody on peds would look like.  That’s what ped do. They put on water weight. Eating right is where you get toned and cut. Ped is where you gain strength and get big.

Here is a video about his workouts.  He is not doing traditional weight training, I think that you might enjoy watching this one...

nothing wrong with working hard on your core, we all should, but this is a load of bro science waffle. Why is he squatting and benching in his videos? Thats 'traditional' weight training..

Years ago, as a peasant, when I started lifting, my SLM numbers, naturally, spiked dramatically within a short period of time.  Let’s contrast that to Bryson.

Bryson is not a peasant.  He has access to absolutely ALL external advantages possible.  Yet if you watch his YouTube channel from this summer and see him struggle with the weight he struggles with with it’s hard to understand why (unless he’s natural ((which he clearly is))).  From his YouTube videos he literally cannot bench 225 x 10.  Let that sink in.

I’m not exactly an endomorph but I’ve been natty my entire life… this brings me to my point because of my own personal gains…

Bryson is filthy rich and apparently he’s not natty so my question is - is Bryson the single weakest non-natty lifter of all time?  I was able to achieve these numbers as a peasant-natty.  So, Bryson must be an absolute b**** if he’s a non-natty aristocrat and he still struggles with 225 the way he does

Lol, as of march 2020, he wasn’t benching or squatting. Not sure when he started but it could have just been sometime this year.

And who knows how serious he is about doing bench and squats. I think he just putzes around with his boys. Hits balls, lifts a little.

225x10? That’s legit strong, that’s a 300lb 1rm.

Im thinking he doesn’t even bench or squat regularly and is pretty strong to just mess around and squat 275 a few times and bench 225.

Here he is at 1:55 saying bench and squats “scare” him. That was 3/2020

This is the point I’m trying to make.

1.  Bryson is more dedicated to golf than I am to life

2.  Because of #1 he’s more focused in the weight room than I ever have

3.  If he was on peds - given his dedication - his numbers would be much higher

Ahhh, I see what you mean.

Im not sure he’s all that focused on the “weight room”. I think he worked a lot with coaches on specialized speed training workouts. These incorporated strength training but not compound lifts.

But I’m thinking he likes to just hang out with his friends when he can and do some “bro” lifting and make videos.

Especially during peak golf season. He’s playing so often, traveling, practicing. Hits millions of balls. I think he works with his strength/speed coach as a priority. But not so much heavy lifting,

Even without PEDs if he had been lifting with focus on compound moves for 2 years, he’d be moving some good weight.

But even with PEDs, if he’s not lifting B/S/Ds regularly, the roids won’t magically make him bench 400 pounds.

I think I’m in agreement with you.  My point is his numbers would be dramatically different if he was doping.

We agree that if he took roids and was compound lifting regularly, he’d be lifting a lot more.

But I don’t think we can go by what he’s benching and squatting because even with PEDs, he won’t lift much if he’s not doing those exercises regularly.

Overall, there’s nothing substantial to conclude he takes them.

Half his body weight would not be 30-40 pounds. If he was 180 lbs half would be 90lbs. So according to this guy Bryson was 80lbs to begin with. Second according to the steroid experts on here. Tiger would have to definitely be on peds according to his strength charts. Bryson is fat with water weight. Exactly what a beginner ped user looks like. Regardless of how strong he was. Bryson gained something like 60-70 pounds. He got up to 240lbs.

Just to clarify when I started this thread I didn't mean for this thread to be a "Is Bryson on PED debate".  I have bashed this man relentlessly and will continue to do so as long as he does stupid crap. But I do feel bad for him to an extent. It's obvious that Bryson is different and is socially inept to an extent.

That would depend on the “PED”. It’s a pretty broad category.

I gained a similar proprtion of weight in my early 20s in a short time, didnt get much stronger and looked bloated. 'Exactly like how a beginner ped user would look'. Except I never took anything.

Then Bryson should of never got the test. He could of just had you explain for him. What’s your point. Does that mean he is clean?  Even Brooks thinks he did.

my point is that there is nothing at all suspicious about how he looks or what he lifts.. if there was a video of him benching 225 for 10 I might raise an eyebrow, but Ive seen guys much smaller who could do that natty anyway.

I think he wants Brooks and others to think he's 'on' just to aggravate them
