Tensei Pro White vs Tensei 1K

Got fitted for a driver this weekend and was fit into Pro White 70TX. Fitter didn't have the 1K but he said I could order the 1K in same weight and flex. Has anyone hit both of these in the same flex. Really liked the Pro White with SIM2 so just wanted to get some feedback on 1k if it's an improvement.

It's an improvement.  I've tested the Pro White and had the 1k in my bag for 6 weeks late last year.  Both were 70TX.  The 1k feels smoother and that's probably due to the different materials.  They both feel very linear and don't have much kick to them.  Both true low/low shafts for sure.  Where I saw a big difference was ball speed.  I saw a 3 mph increase on average with the 1k which gave me about 9 more yards of carry.  Unfortunately, I was more prone to hook the ball with anything less than a solid swing, so it got the boot.

Nailed it, while they are the "same Profile" the 1K is lightyears ahead in feel.  I never could get a feel for the Pro White, the 1K felt like my old trust Ahina in the first couple of swings.  Also the 1k Flat out performs better, I too got 2-3mph in Ball speed & the unicorn Mid/High Launch & low spin.

I've played the Tensei pro white in TX. Can anyone comment or compare the pro white TX vs 1k TX? reason i ask is because on the website, Tensei pro white only has stiff flex than jumps to TX. no X flex. the 1k had X flex and TX so I'm wondering if the TX in 1k no would play stiffer than the Pro white

CPM for both in TX flex will be very similar.  As I've stated previously, they will both feel very linear and stiff.  Performance wise, the 1K was a little bit more stable.  1K is basically a Pro White on roids for me in that my ball speed jumped up 2-3 mph and has better feel.

Play the 1k in driver and wanted to try similar in 3W but didn’t want to drop 350+ for the 1k so I got the CK Pro White for half the price to test. Hope to get it on play next week.

Besides it being counterbalanced, the white feels a hair stiffer overall.  I would say the launch and spin are very similar though.  The orange seems to have a touch more feel as well.

Definitely.

I believe so.  The original TPO was designed to be the counterbalanced version of the white and it seems like MCA has done the same with the 1K generation.

It deadens the feel to the head which is why you would need to add more weight to the head to get the feel back.  CB shafts were originally designed for longer builds.  My driver set up is 45 inches playing length so it's technically not a longer build.  I went with the TPO 1K to experiment.  I had the Rogue Silver 125 which I believe is a cb shaft and was fitted for it hence my decision.  Worked out pretty well.

As I posted earlier, playing the 1k in driver and Pro white in 3 wood. I’ve never been more confident in my 3 wood as I am right now. Long and straight and just feels perfect. 
 

the driver shaft is fantastic. Ive finally settled in on what feels and performs.

have u ever tried the Blue in a driver shaft? I hit the Blue AV tensei today on the course for the first time and spin was way too high. Should I be looking into a blue? Hit, spinny and right every time i hit it. Thx

I've tested the AV Raw Blue and it's probably the worst modern shaft for my swing.  High spinners all day and prone to the lefts.  Didn't like how much it kicked as well.  Doesn't sound like the blue would be a good fit for you.

i was hoping the AV blue 22 60s was what I was looking for, mid launch and mid spin but it flat out did not work. Everything was high, right and spinny. It worked better in a 3 wood, but the driver was awful. Should I be looking at any of the white series?

Coming from Oban Kiyoshi Tour blue which was high launch, too high for me

I had the Oban Tour limited.  Like you it launched high, but it was one the straightest shafts for me so it stayed in the bag for awhile.  At the time, it was in a TM Aeroburner 10.5 which is a higher spinning head so that may have been the culprit.  The latest gen white board profiles have different nuances.  Some will will feel softer and be easier to load like the Tensei 1K while others like the Diamana PD and Kai'li White will feel more boardy and stiff and be more difficult to load.  They will all be more linear/less kick than any of the blue board profile shafts.

Oban tour flies high and relatively straight, but all carry and zero roll. Windy days are a struggle. Figured I needed something lower launching so started with Tensei Blue. Maybe mid launch mid spin is not for me, maybe I need mid launch and low spin. I will try out some of the white series and compare. 

I have an AV white 65 which is 68 grams and 3.5 torque which I will demo tomorrow. Have u ever hit that ?

Can someone give me some information:

 

1. what is newer the Pro White or White 1K. Is there such thing as a Pro White 1K now? (It is confusing)

 

2. How do I tell the difference when I am buying these shafts on eBay? Is there any categoric differences in the aesthetics, for example Ventus has the velocore writing

1K Pro White is the newest shaft. The Pro models have 1K Series below the Tensei graphic and their weight designation ends in a zero (50, 60, 70 etc) . OEM shafts will have 1K and the shaft color and their weight designation ends in a 5 (55, 65, 75 etc). 

Aftermarket premium 1K Pro top. OEM shafts bottom.
