Great, enjoyed his time on txg, hope the best for him, his comments and abilities always brought alot of credibility to the txg videos. Feel he will be hard to replace on txg.

Did subscribe to his youtube channel

I like the variety of his new channel, good to see Larry again.  He does need an intro tho; maybe a catchy saying.

I also wonder if Matt got “The Bracket” in the settlement.  Fingers crossed.

I like him because he's a lefty. 🤣

A guy I was paired with today told me about his new channel and what happened at txg. I was confused as to why two shlubs who hit worse than I do were now hosting..

What did the guy say?

He said Ian had sold out to Club Champ and either isn't on at all or not much anymore and Matt had started his own channel after the purchase.

He had mentioned the Haywood review they did when he was checking out my irons. I told him that I had been a fan of the channel, but the last 2 shows were really bad.

My guess is there was a little more going on behind the scenes there

Just up and gone and no word of it

My guess is Matt was an employee and not part owner so he got nothing out of the sale and the sale killed the show. But that's a guess at best.

<edit> just saw the first minute of the New Level review and that was enough for me. 🤣

Noticed that Ian hasn’t been on a few of the recent TXG videos.

He cashed an Ed McMahon sized check and split. 🤣

I unsubscribed, it's unwatchable without either of them hem.

TXG was good while it lasted.  Too bad for me, I miss it

The beauty that is YouTube is you can still watch the good ones.

I got a lot out of the reviews and comparisons. But the two customer service reps they have running the channel is just bad. Just look at the strike locations and know they already tossed out "the bad ones" in editing and these are the shots that are left. 🤣

How many shots do you think they usually do with each club?

Ian had mentioned that they edit out the bad ones, so of the 5 shots they show, my guess is they might have taken 7 maybe. But the 5 they show are really good.

The 2 guys that were trying to do a demo last episode I tried to make it through showed some pretty bad shots. So my guess is there were a few that got cut that were awful if what you showed were your best shots of the bunch.

Maybe the new guys don't edit and what you see is what you get. But for me, there is little benefit in learning from someone worse than myself. 🤣

Half someone else have noticed this. The new stuff Matt’s been doing with LC I have enjoyed. As quick as his YouTube channel is coming together I would think he knew his direction for awhile now.

Agreed. Glad that he is doing this and seems like him and LC will have some good videos moving forward.

I thought TXG had multiple owners including Ian, and Ian was also CEO. It sounded like the other investors wanted out. I’m not sure where Ian landed in it, but it’s clear Matt wasn’t onboard.

Nothing good is going to come from TXG becoming part of Club Champion. Still can’t wrap my head around them charging full retail on a driver and only getting the head for that price. And then having to pay full retail on the shaft they fit you for on top of it! What the heck?!

I like Matt's content and subscribed a few weeks ago. He and Larry have released some good instructional video. Nothing earth shattering but reminded me of some of Monte's concepts. I get the feeling that the two channels are competing with one another. Is it coincidence they release "fitting better players for irons" videos within hours of one another?

As for TXG I would much rather see Ian swing then Mike or RB. His action is solid and every bit as enjoyable as watching Matt's. What I don't want to see are guys that strike it as well or worse then I do.

Larry has long been one of my favorite follow on YT. Doesnt need an hour to explain a simple swing thought - does it in 5 minutes, usually in simple terms and usually with a good drill. Have always loved his stuff.

BUT - I hate that Matt just picks up a club righty - and already has a good looking swing. What a jerk LOL.

I'm sure Ian had to sign a NDA and Non-Compete as part of the sale. Secondly, although Matt was often listed as a producer, he had no ownership stake. If you'll think about it, Matt took a little hiatus because of "issues" with his fiance' just prior to the sale being announced and confirmed. Hopefullt Ian and Matt can remain relevant until the time the legalities expire.

The answer to better golf is work your butt off and learn how to hit it better, farther, and make more putts.

Sadly all the high end fitters do that. If you get fit into one of the upcharge shafts that the manufacturers stock, you can just order directly from them and save 200-300.

RB and Mikey are really painful to watch. I only watch the videos that Ian is in now.
