LOL I thought it was rather odd when I saw it happen, I don't recall ever seeing a pro do that after winning.  Oh well, I don't guess that I will be laying awake at night worrying about it!

List was joyful, relieved, and grateful, still got his composure and displayed class and sportsmanship by going back and shaking hands with Zalatoris. Both of those players showed a great deal of class, it’s truly a shame that folks observing are continually looking for any perceived slight when players in actual arena are truly non-plussed.

I am literally un-following the PGA Tour on social media because of this! Let's see how those bunch of new-age loonies do without guys like me supporting them. Maybe next time they'll get the order of operations right and preserve the integrity of the game. This is a travesty!!

Yeah, I suspect if he snubbed his wife by rejecting her to shake Happy Gilmore's caddie's hand instead might cause him more immediate issues.

Anyway, my basic point is that in a 1 on 1 situation (for example in a play off or matchplay at golf, or a tennis match, you generally shake your opponents hand before you go off to celebrate with your team and family. It's called etiquette - a mark of respect to the person who lost.

It's called being excited for your first Tour win in your mid/late 30s after years of trying and enjoying it with your family who have been there the whole time...Btw, it's not like he totally snubbed WZ afterwards...That would have been worthy of commenting on...

Yes you are.  You were somehow trying to make List seem like he was the scum of the earth because his first instinct was to hug his wife and kids.  It took a few seconds and then he went over and shook hands with Zalatoris.  I'm sure Zalatoris didn't even notice the sequence of events or even care.  There are plenty of hills to die on, this wasn't one of them.
