Rogue ST Max

For sure, 3.5 mph extra ball speed and the sound/feel of the Ping was really beginning to irritate me even though it had 4g of hot melt.

Another weird thing about the Ping is I couldn’t tell where on the face I hit it because it all felt equally bad to me. With the Rogue I could tell exactly where I hit it so now when I miss it left I’ll know if it was a toe strike or shut face.

I had the hotmelt in the G425 LST head as well from a head I bought from Endy here but I still could not get over the sound. For some reason, that head was a hook machine as well. Not good. It never got along with my swing. Ended up trading it with a guy for a SIM2 head. Shortest lived head in my golfing history.

One thing to know, with the Rogue Max head, if you miss it especially the toe miss, its still darn straight and pretty far. The Epic Max LS could never, ever do that.

Rogue ST Max is truly a remarkable head in a very understated, blingless finish. One of Callaway's best ever.

Any Rouge St Max lovers out there hit the Paradym yet and compared the numbers? Is the Paradym that much better? I just balked at buying the Paradym because I was able to get the Rogue for half the price on CPO.

At the CPO prices for Like New, can't go wrong.

I bought a Paradym, only played it twice so far, I like the look better (confession, I did have my Rouge ST customized by Cally Customs as far as color), performance wise seems about the same....then again, I played Rogue for 75 + rounds so pretty used to it.

Time will tell if Paradym that much better, Rogue ST silly forgiving, as the Paradym seems to be....I think the Paradym is lower launching than the Rogue, but that's hitting the Paradym about 25 times so far.

You went with red, right. I’m going to put the flat Callaway adapter on my Ventus Red 5s (had a Ping 425 Max that I sold because I got the 9* when PING replaced my old 10.5- hit to too low). Instead of getting another 10.5 425, I decided to try the Rogue. I was able to sell the Ping 9* head for $300- so the Rogue is only costing me $60 when all is said and done. I’m looking forward to using the Ventus Red with the higher launching Rogue- I need to improve my launch- it’s why I exchanged the Ventus Blue I had for the Red. So as you can see, I am attempting to custom fit myself. I figure the Rogue with the Red should get me to optimal launch (14*) for my 100MPH SS.

Actually the Paradym I went with the Kaili Blue for grins, which was about 10 grams lighter than Rogue shaft, which is a Tensei AV Blue 65.  If I don't get 'adjusted' to the Kaili Blue, I'll just put my Tensei in it, or maybe my Speeder 661.

Rogue is just a great all around driver, if I didn't get reimbursed for golf equipment I wouldn't have spent $600 on Paradym, I'd have waited until showed up on CPO

I tested them both not that long ago when i was looking at trading up from an old Ping G20 i picked up secondhand. as a disclaimer I will add that I am fairly new to golf but the Rogue and Paradym played almost exactly the same for me.

The Para went maybe a touch longer, but they were both pretty consistent in height and dispersion of shots, both felt nice to swing and had a good sound out of the strike. The both look good to my eye as well, though I admit the Para takes the edge there for me. But it came down to money for me. The Para just didn't play $300 better than the Rogue.

I actually traded in the Rogue and paid for $150 more for the Paradym. Since the Rogue came from CPO still in the plastic PGA Superstore gave me full credit. I hit a demo Rogue against the Paradym at PGA SS and my spin and dispersion were better- my average carry was better too. I’ve had the Paradym for 15 rounds and according to my GPS my average drive is 276- it was 264 with my PING G425- so suffice to say, I’m very happy with the Paradym… very happy.

Ah, see thats not bad then. Alas, no CPO for me here in Aus.

For me spin and dispersion were very similar so I would have been paying the extra for a dozen or so extra yards of carry. for me that would be better spent on a 3 wood, so now the hunt begins.

And with the money you saved, you could get a “slab of the greenies.” (Assuming you’re from Victoria. 😜)
