Best putter(s) for hands even with ball at address/impact

It seems to me that anser style putters with around 3 degrees of loft and a plumber's neck hosel with a full shaft of offset are designed to have the player's hands slightly ahead of the ball at address/impact. It seems that if your hands are even with the ball at address/impact, you will pop the ball up in the air too much and the weight of the club would be sort of behind the ball, resulting in kind of a thinned, clicky feel at impact, rather than a nice, meaty solid feel at impact. Am I right about that? Are there other putters that are more designed for having your hands even with the ball at impact, like a hosel with less offset and a face with less loft, like 2 degrees? Sems like some of these hosels like the mid-slant that just has half a shaft of offset or no offset might be the putter for someone who likes to have hands even with ball at impact? Any insight?

If you're launching the ball then you have either too much loft, too much dynamic loft at impact or accelerating the head through impact. You can always adjust the loft and try that if your dynamic loft and stoke is fine, if that doesn't work potentially less offset could help.

I'm not really sure what you are looking for and why.

Centre shafted putters have 0 offset. Finding a putter with no offset and low loft could be difficult.

I think offset is more of a push/pull issue than it is a "launch condition" issue. If you are rolling the ball straight then I would just get the loft adjusted.......

If you feel you are thinning the ball that is a swing flaw as regardless of the putter you shouldnt be lifting that close to or after impact.

I see what you guys are saying, but clearly some putters are built to have hands ahead of ball at impact. Like I think Kuchar had one where he had a ton of shaft lean at address and impact with a big forearm lock. Contrast that to like a Zack Johnson with his SeeMore center shafted putter where his hands are essentially even with the ball at address and impact. What I'm getting at is what putters are best for more of the Zack Johnson style putting, where there is no shaft lean and your hands are even with ball at address and impact? Are plumber's neck hosels okay to be putted like that? Or do you have to have your hands ahead of the ball at address/impact in order for a plumber's neck hosel/offset head work? Is it just putters with no offset that work with hands even at address? If so, are there Anser style heads that have no offset? Closest I have seen is the Scotty Newport 2.5, which promotes a "half shaft of offset" (as opposed to full shaft of offset), but they seem to promote that for stronger arc putters, as less offset on that style putter seems to lead to more toe-flow??

I guess I'm just looking for an Anser style blade head with no offset but that matches a slight arc instead of a strong arc. Does that exist?

The reason Kuchar has his hands so far forward is because that's part of Armlock putting, his putter has lots of loft like 5-7° or more but that's a different style of putting all together.

The best style putter for neutral hands at impact is a properly fit putter if that works for you, some people putt better with a forward press and there is nothing wrong with that. But if you want neutral hands at impact have a putter that gives proper launch conditions at impact and that may just be a simple loft and lie adjustment.

There isn't much stock for no offset Anser style, best and cheapest suggestion is go to eBay and buy an Edel E-5, they don't all come with no offset but they're the closest thing you can find without going crazy custom.

That Edel is exactly what I was envisioning. That new EAS 1 looks just right. They even have a “backset” option for face forward…

Then look into an Edel fitting because they can make what you want as long as you aim it properly but I'm sure if you want face forward they'll sell it to you.

Seemore makes a bunch of putters that would fit your description, but they may have have more toe hang than you are asking for.

Anser style plumbers necks are made to deliver the ball at the stated loft, regardless of where your hands are. That is just personal preference. You can move the ball foreards or backwards a hare to help or reduce launch too.

This putter pictured below is basically what you are asking for.
