I am 💯 with @TiScape, @DArnie & especially @Wooley12!! Besides, at critical junctures in my adult life, whether it be athletically, professionally or socially, I too haven't "gotten it," though at the end of the day, we did just fine, however I have to admit that bein a dinosaur🦖 does sometimes suck, lolol. Actually, I don't care if us four are the only four guys in this thread who just "don't get it," I'll take those three on a tee any day all day 7/365 and the guys that "get it" can have at it, lol
 

Yah, Murray's schtick can grate on even his biggest fans, of which I would count myself as one, however it's moments like that which I linked below, that leave fans talking about Bill at the 19th versus who's fighting it out atop the leader board. Or back when they were having trouble finding a Pro/Celeb to conduct the kiddie klinic, which was their largest pre/tourney event and the big reason why a lot of the So Cali crew donated $$, in a thank you for entertaining their children, and Murray stepped up, as he always had/has, talked his Partner, Scott Simpson, into participating, and a great time was had by all. 
 

We were having a drink in the Lounge following the 3rd round and all that I recall were people discussing the various celebrities and yah, Bill Murray's name came up, though in a very positive light, with NOONE that I overheard discussing the actual golf Tourney or the Pros, as I made a comment to Pete & Sam about that. Sam laughed and said, "This is the one tournament that isn't about us." Now this comment was from one of THE Top-3 most narcissistic Tour Boys to EVER swing a club, lolol😂😂
 

Look, I get that for a small contingent of "serious" golfers, the side show that are the Celebs, Ams in general and Bill Murray in particular can be tiresome, however thank the good Lord that this contingent of guys that "get it" is small, statistically irrelevant and not necessary for the success of the Tourney☺️. I've always consider myself a "serious" golfer when the time was right, however as a fan ain't one of those times😜🤪
 

If the Tour depended on either these fans or the Players that share this mindset, there would be no Tour or it would be a second/third tier carnival act🎡 as it was in Sam's early days, as with the exception of Augusta, he said that literally, if a top rated Hollywood movie was premiering or just out, it would outdraw the Tour Boys for the week, and this was when walking the fairways was FREE to the fans😜🤪

 

Oh, and FWIW, Peter(and Bill) indeed DO GET IT😉
