Streamsong Conditions

Wife surprised me for my birthday with a Weekend and a couple rounds for the end of July. Was curious on any advice on the weekend and what to do while there, first timer obviously.

 

Supposed to play Red course Saturday Morning, and Blue Course Sunday morning. Have 1 other buddy joining as well as I'm sure we will get paired with another 2 some....

 

Should we use a Bag caddie one of the rounds? if so which course and who?

should we walk/ride second round with fore caddie?

I played the Blue course today. It was fine. My caddy told me that the whole resort, even the hotel is closing for 30 days on Monday. I think they want to get a handle on that fungus, two other guys in my group played Black yesterday and said it was not bad at all.

Red and Blue are closed until 7/19/22 and Black is closed until 7/29/22.

With the summer heat, I would ride for all rounds, which will require a forecaddie.

Gotta respect them for not just plowing through with spotty conditions and continuing to take people's money. I suppose this is probably their low season anyway, considering the weather, but most major golf resorts could sell out at almost any price these days.

Anyone have any thoughts on the conditions at this point in the summer? Going out to the resort for the first time Labor Day.

Slightly off topic but dont think it’s needs its own thread. 
 

Has anyone stayed off site and played streamsong? If so where did you stay? I know it’s in the middle of nowhere but wondering what the next best options are if you don’t stay at the resort.

Best western Heritage inn and suites Bowling Green is probably the closest.  still a 25 min or so drive.

I feel like an idiot for saying this and need to add some backstory. 
 

our mechanic got a new job and completely checked out. He said he checked everything and it was not equipment related at all. Well one of the hoses on one of our greens mowers had a crack that only leaked once it got to a certain temp and pressure. The leak would then drip onto the rear tire and smear. So our the greens we mowed 1st or 2nd each day wouldn’t get it and we alternate some days based on play where the mowers start.

Also, anyone that has yardage books... do they give tips on how to play the holes.. or just yardages?

Played Blue and Red (twice) over the long weekend. There was an AJGA event on Black so was tough to get on that course. Courses were in great shape. No complaints at all. Didn't flip through the yardage books, so no input from that end. 

 

One thing I was pleasantly surprised by was the pricing at the restaurants. Everything was pretty reasonable. Obviously you can't go off property for food/drink, so you'd think they'd be whacking you, but that definitely wasn't the case. 

Whole operation was first class. Can't wait to get back.
