Since we pretty much know what TaylorMade’s driver plans for 2022 are, by the grace of our admins, let us start a thread to discuss Stealth performance and ordering issues.

This is my new toy. LH 10.5 non +.
 

Lamkin Genesis Cord. The traction of cord without an overly firm feel.

 

 

RDX Smoke Blue 60 6.0. No upcharge.

 

 

Installed label down, there is total blackness at address. Max Stealth.

 

 

For maximum Stealthiness, I will use this head cover that my MIL made some years ago.

 

 

They’ll never know what hit ‘em.

Stealth + 9* here. 

Ordered with RDX Red, but plan was to put my Ventus blue 6X from my SIM2 Max into Stealth. 

 

Had a couple range sessions with it so far. Love the performance and the look at address. 

Love the softer feeling of impact as well. Reminds me a little of the feel of the OG Cobra LTD.

Ordered stealth + 9 degree with GD ad di 6 x shaft on 2/11.  Says it will ship 4/11 due to delays in the head.  Anyone have any thoughts on if that date will holds up, be moved up or back?  Any insight on the delays and solutions?  Thanks.

Nice to see TM is consistently late even with their new releases.  Took over 3 months to get P790s.  Tracking on 2 months for Stealth 7 wood and won’t be surprised if it takes 3 months also.There are plenty of other good clubs available from companies who have their act together.  It is very disappointing and I am being kind.  No excuses

Stealth 9 degree w upgraded Tour AD XC 7S shaft-

‘Just received it via EBAY and took it out for a round along with some new to me irons ( New Level 635M). I probably play to a 12 now due to my poor putting.

I was playing the Cobra Speedzone Pars & Stripes with the Ventus Velocore Blue 6R shaft.

‘LOOKS- The Stealth wins in this department because of the look and the red face, not that the whirs head and red rear race port exhausts don’t look good on the Cobra. Cobra has the red/wh/bl theme and the Stealth is just Blk/red, including the shaft. Pretty cool setup, either way.

FEEL/SOUND- This one surprised me because the Cobra sounds tinny and the TM more muted and soft, so TM wins. At times, could barely feel the ball on the face of the Stealth… not sure if good or bad, just different. Must be that carbon face. Note around durability. Make sure your ball is clean before teeing off as I have heard some of the faces get marked up if there is sand on it, especially range balls in sandy FL.

PERFORMANCE- Right now it’s a toss up but I would say the TM is straighter but the Cobra at times is longer. Not sure if it’s the 10 GM difference in shafts but both shafts perform quite well. More testing will determine the winner.

Stealth + 9* coming from the Sim2.  Shaft is a Ventus Blue Velcore 6x.   The Sim2 is hot melted so I will be honest when I gave the Stealth a ride for the first time, was not happy with the feel or sound.   Sent it to Peoples Clubs for some hot melting and wow.....everything is now perfect.  

 

Going to Vegas for the Wisconsin PGA Pro-Am in 2 weeks;  I'll report back on playing performance.

I have the Stealth Plus in 9 degree with a stiff RDX Red shaft. 
 

My previous driver was a few years old (M5 Tour) so I certainly noticed a difference in yardage and I’m hitting more fairways.

 

My home course is a thinking man’s course where you have to make good club selections. As I’ve gotten used to the driver, I’ve begun to use it more on tee shots that require more precision than distance. I was using 3wd, 5wd or 4i for some of these tee shots, but not anymore. I’m confident that I can get the ball to land in my intended landing zone.

I placed an order for LH P790’s last year and they were pushed back multiple times, eventually they never were able to build them.

 

There are plenty of similar situations unfortunately. At this point, if you’re ordering directly from TM, there are two realistic approaches. If every component of the club/clubs shows a current delivery date (the parts are actually in stock), you will very like get the order, and pretty quickly. The club shown above arrived in 7 business days. However, if any component, including grips, shows a future stocking date, you should have another set to play until the order arrives. Even if the component becomes available, which is no sure thing, another may now be out of stock and your order will stall. Note that this makes trade-ins a very questionable experience if the trade-in is your “other” set of clubs.

Really glad you made a new thread for this.  There's been zero talk of this driver on wrx so I was wondering when somebody would start a discussion.

Im not sure how much or if they even are better than the SIM or SIM 2 for others but for me they are as that is why the driver of choice for 2022 for me is the TM Stealth Plus 10.5* with the Tensei 1K 50 Pro White as this for me seems like a perfect match. The Stealth just looks so serious as I love the conventional look and the feel is better than any other TM drivers of the past, plus the Epic Max and RadSpeed which I left. I did demo a few of the newer drivers but TM performed the best

 

I'm pretty sure the shaft helps make a difference but with anything else out there once you take the time to get dialed in you will find places in the fairway that you have never hit from before as the Stealth Plus has got some distance that's for sure. All the drivers out there are pretty equal in that category but with the Tensei 1K really adds to it in a very positive way as it's a very smooth feeling shaft. 

 

This is the looks I've been missing from TaylorMade as the white was just OK as I did see improvements from the very start but this is how TM should look. I even bought the 3W and 5W with the Red Ventus. Now wondering if I should pick up a 7W as I haven't had one of those for several years.

Wow, just went to site, no 8/9* heads available to select, and only have the stock RDX in regular flex.

The idea was that someone who was new to the site might not want to read through 6000 posts to discover that it had morphed into a user review oriented thread. However, the negativity saddens me and I will lock it to make you happy.
