Rogue St Triple Diamond

Anybody really dive into this or have any extended time with it? I did a few full fittings and settled on the Stealth+, but each time the fitter asked me try the 💎💎💎 I was apprehensive because of the past “unforgiving” reputation.

After seeing the MyGolfSpy testing it looks like it isn’t as unforgiving as I had previously thought. Any insight?

PS I already ordered one because I’m a club hoe, but very curious to see if anyone has played it yet.

  • Ryan19jwu changed the title to Rogue St Triple Diamond

Last year I played the Epic Speed Triple Diamond (not LS). I love that head. I gave the Rogue ST TD a go with the same Ventus Blue 6s and I couldn't get it to fit. I just couldn't generate enough spin. I wouldn't even say it much less forgiving after going to the Rogue ST Max LS, the Max LS just spins in the 2100-2400 range much more consistently.

My Epic Speed TD was extremely forgiving in my eyes, so if you can generate the club head speed/spin, I don't think you're giving up much, especially if you really like that square/more open looking driver head.

I was looking to cut spin and landed on the ST TD.  The Cobra LS was my initial target, but the TD was much more consistent for me (maybe a shaft issue), the shapes were very similar to my eye.  Cobra was also launching lower, which I liked.  TD was spinning approx. 500rpm less than my previous gamer (Epic Speed) with the same shaft and with similar launch angles.  Forgiveness seemed fine to me, but that's not really my focus.

After a few rounds with the TD, spin is noticeably lower in a good way across the face.  It's also definitely more fade biased than the Speed.

I have the TD LS 9* and have three rounds on it.  Straightest driver I have ever hit.  Last time out I was launching it lower than the fitting, but I was missing it on the toe and they were still flying in the fairway.  Love it myself.

I have four rounds with the TD. Find it more forgiving than tsi2, tsi3 and sim max OG. For my swing it is going straighter and more fairways

Can’t help but be intrigued by the TD and Max LS. Feeling like one of those will find it’s way in my bag this season. Hit a stealth over the weekend and it wasn’t bad, but did not wow me. Couldn’t feel where the ball was hitting the face, and I didn’t like that. Got a demo day coming up for callaway at my local store. And really talking myself out of buying one sight unseen before I can hit them during the demo. Ugh haha

Tried both/all. For my SS the LS produced better results. I’m around 105-110.   The TD was too low spin and I got no distance.

This is my first triple 💎 💎 💎 model and to me it seems tottaly hittable. Ive only hit it in a screen but the result i was seeing was exactly what i hoped for. I swing from 95 to 100mph for driver and i was spinning on good shots 1800 to 2800 and bad shots 2900 to 3600. Bad shot still went as far as my standard mavrik bad ones... and good shots seemed to average further then my standard mavrik and i can say i was smashing my standard mavrik last season. Anything ive ever tryed that was good in a screen was even better in real life.

Id say dont be afraid to most ppl wanting it. If you can play a blade or small cb you can hit this driver it is forgiving.

Got to hit the Max LS and Triple Diamond the past couple of days.

Played Friday with the Max LS with the Tensei Blue shaft in stiff flex, 9* turned down to 8*. Hit the ball higher than usual and turned the ball over more than usual. Switched the shaft to Tensei White stiff flex and went to range afterwards. Brought the ball flight down some but still higher than I want. And still had no problem turning the ball over.

Fast forward to yesterday and hit the Triple Diamond on the range. Tensei White stiff flex, 9* turned down to 8*. Much better ball flight and.....nothing but baby drawers. That surprised me. Was reallly curious how forgiving I would find it but have to say it was fine forgiveness wise. Actually thought it felt better than the Max LS. Not really what I expected from someone with a 90 mph driver swingspeed. Hopefully I'll get a chance to take it to the course next week for a better test drive.

My fitting came down to Stealth Plus and the Trip D. What sold me was the miss hits on the Callaway were still amazing compared to my gamer and slightly better than the stealth. Just worked better with my swing. First round on the course confirmed my decision. Never been happier with a driver.

I have played a Mavrik Sub Zero pretty much since it came out.  Hit some absolute bombs with it paired with an AD HD 6X.  Certainly not the most forgiving, but when I was on, it was great.  Been trying new drivers all winter, G425's, a G400 LST, Stealth Plus.  None of them really wowed me on a combination of feel, looks, and performance against the Mavrik SZ.

I got a Rogue 💎💎💎 in today, and have only been able to hit it in the simulator due to crap weather, but I'm excited about this one.  9 degree, and just popped my AD HD in I had in the Mavrik, and I'm getting some solid feedback.  Launching between 12-15 degrees with 2300-2700 spin depending on strike, with about 104 swing speed.  It seems to be a tiny buttercup, which is different because I typically hit a slight draw.  Sound and feel are GREAT!  Makes me want to hit the MAX LS to see if I can turn it over a little easier, but will resist until I can get this outside.

Was looking at the Rogue MaxLS this weekend with the 50% buy back at Callaway. But with a freshly repaired rotator cuff -I’m putting it off till September so I can actually swing it and not just stare at it LOL!

Well I really wanted to go with the Stealth + this year as I just love their fairway woods as I was lucky enough to get the 50% trade in for the ST MAX LS as I'm putting my Tensei 1K 50 Pro White shaft in it, can't wait. So around Easter time it should arrive. I did demo the LS earlier before they were released and almost pulled the trigger then. Loved the looks feel as I was pretty impressed even with the stock Tensei AV White shaft.

This was almost exactly my experience as well.  I fight hooks.  The Max LS, 10.5* opened up to 9.5, flew a little higher than I like and still drew harder than I wanted.

The TD 9* straight on gave me a more penetrating ball flight on a rope - still plenty high but just so consistently straight.  Good hang time compared to the Cobra LS as well.

The Rogue TD LS is what I was hoping the Cobra LS was going to be.  Plenty stable.  Great driver.

I saw the TXG video on the tour issue heads. Looks to me like this years TD LS is more similar to last years Max LS. But they have a TD S that looks to be the smaller more pear shape players triple diamond that is more comparible to last years Epic Speed TD LS. Anyone had a chance to get their hands on the S?

Which video?

The Rogue ST TD LS is definitely a return of the 'Sub Zero' with TD-esque-features and not the tour-issue TD models from the Mavrik-'21 Epic Speed lines.

The Max LS is like the old Max LS. 460cc vs 450cc and etc.

is the TD LS super low spin? Would it be better to go with a 10.5 head for extra forgiveness and keep spin in check? How was the spin for everyone compared to an Epic Max ls? prior to the epic max ls i was in the EF SZ and hit some bombs but miss anywhere but middle and it was a goner. Hit the ST Max LS yesterday and saw and increase in ball speed from my gamer. Just wondering if it is a shaft issue (Gamer is ventus black 6x) or club head issue.

I found the TD LS to spin more for me than the Max LS...Max LS was a sub 1800 spinner for me while the TD LS lives in the 2100-2300. Switched to TD LS from Stealth+ as the Stealth+ would give me a 1600 spinning dive bomb if hit above center.

I have the TD and from everything I've read, it's not low spin per se in the same sense that the LS is.

The triple D is designed to create lower spin on fading shots so those who like to move the ball left to right don't lose distance.  In addition to that, a bi-product of that, is this club won't go left.

I've been fighting with hooks for probably close to a decade now off the tee.  It's calmed down tremendously over the years with lots of lessons and practice, but every once and a while, one still creeps in, usually at the absolute worse time.  I notice it most later in a round when maybe I am tired or my back is acting up.

Anyways, that doesn't happen with this club, I haven't hit a hook with it yet on the course.  The only setting I could get to produce that flight was to loft up and put it in a draw setting when I was messing around on the range.

I do need to work on my strike point with mine though.  Right now I am finding more towards the toe or thin, and while forgiving, it still isn't going to fix a bad strike.  My PING G425LST was for sure more forgiving on off strikes but the distance of the triple D and the anti-left's still make it a winner over the PING for me.  I took a quick peek at the LS when I got my Triple D and it was too low spin across the board for me btw, so I only hit a few balls with it and decided the head wasn't the best fit or at least not worth an upgrade over my G425 where as the Triple D takes a whole side of the course out of play off the box for me, while increasing average distance over the PING.

I guess I’m in the minority here on WRX that can hit anything and everything but I bought a triple diamond LS and I can’t hit it for s***. Duck hook, then a slice, then a bomb, then a slice etc etc. Loved the Max LS, not this thing. Never owned a driver that I can pepper the center and get such terrible consistency
