This has turned out absolutely perfect. The dark patina finish is exactly what I wanted it to look like and I'm looking forward to see how it ages over time. It's epoxied in. The bottom is completely smooth.

The Hammer Grey is more of a powder coat and not perfectly smooth. It feels great.

I was told that this is a new color that they are just allowed to use and is only one of the 3 (black and platinum) being the others that will stick to both carbon and the tungsten plugs.  My goal was to hide the plugs as best I could.  There were no guarantees about lifetime wear.  So I really don't know.

One more interesting item as we were talking about design.  The laser etching isn't able to etch black since the laser requires a color from white across the color range, except black.  This came up when discussing possible sole etchings.  But I'm very happy with how the clean sole looks and maybe I do color on a future design.

Anyone happen to know the weight of the stock PLD putter shaft?   
 

The overall putter seems heavy and wondering if a shaft switch could lighten it up.

From weighing my putter and knowing the grip and head weight, this is what I calculate for my 34" putter
Total weight:
533g
Head 350g
Grip 85g
Stock PLD Graphite Shaft (350g - 85g) = 98g

I believe they require either an in-person or remote fitting. Given their capabilities, it might be worth validating your data anyway IMO.

I was told that the oyster finish does not stick to carbon well so they only make it available to SS models.

From what I can gather...

 

Anser 4x is an Anser head with a flow neck. When I ordered my Anser with a flow neck last June it was called an Anser 4j. Looks like they have officially changed the name from Anser 4j to Anser 4x. An Anser 4 is an Anser 2 head with a flow neck.

Is this true with the current anser 4? I see this written but it sure doesn’t look like an anser 2 anymore.

I’m sure the PLD custom program could make you one, but that’s probably the only way to get one.

They can probably build you a retail one too. I sent a retail one in to add a longer shaft and the cb60 15 inch grip.
