Just placed an order for a DS72 in Dark Oyster finish (+ short slant neck which has to come in black) - any suggestions on what steel shaft to put in it (chrome vs. matte black vs. black chrome)? Initial gut feel was chrome but look forward to hearing other views on this. Grip will be a SuperStroke 1.0

My FedEx tracking shows my PLD Custom set to arrive today.  I have checked the tracking about 100x today, I'm worse than a kid a Christmas.

I will get some pics up and write a little about my experience later this week.  FWIW it was such a fun experience.  IMO you are paying to be treated like a pro, which I am glad I paid for....because my game will never afford me that luxury haha

It came and I’m pumped, absolutely love the Hammer Gray finish.

i originally was going to go with some PINGman and AZ type engravings, but during the fitting Alex was able to pinpoint certain putts where I didn’t commit fully and therefore kept pushing my putts (which is my miss).  
The hammer gray kinda has a military feel to it (IMO), and so I wanted to pull in some WWII feel.  I also figured the whole point of this putter is to make more putts and have something to help me, and only me.  I wanted to get that message on my putter, ‘Commit to your Line’ so I can just not think as much when putting, and just trust my line and hit it.  

Anyways, I took all the Ping stuff that I was planning on putting on the bottom of the putt off, and I put everything below.  Alex was very patient and I think it turned out pretty cool.  Just got back from the range putting green and man it feels like the most stable putter I’ve ever used.  Now it's time to go drop some bombs on the course 💣

Hi all - got fitted to a DS72 (365g head weight) at 35" length. They are looking to get swing weight to E0 (not able to reduce head weight and need to adjust via grip weight / trying to go lighter swing weight would result in total weight being too heavy). My question is - will this feel very heavy? Could it negatively impact my distance control or is it a fairly standard total weight / swing weight? 

I have a strong arc strong and the putter has a lot of toe hang (short slant neck). I like to stand fairly upright (only 5'11" and 35" wrist to floor so the putter is 1/2" longer than the static fit recommendation).

The only part I don't love about the Hammer Gray finish is I wasn't able to see the tungsten weight plugs in the bumpers with this as much as you can with the other finishes.  I think the look of those plugs look pretty cool, but this is something Alex told me about as well.

Feel is personal.  I have two face balanced DS72s, one 360 and one 365.  With a light grip the head can feel pendulous.  Is it difficult to control distance?  Maybe not with practice.  I will say my other putters are slightly better on that front.  Toe hang may help you.

At my fitting 2 years ago they were doing ds72 and Tyne in center shafted for sure. They didn’t have any to try but said they would do it.

I think that predates the current PLD program.
