Considering a move to Mitsubishi MMT iron shafts

I have played Steel Fibers but they seemed to play stiffer to flex, last several sets been going with UST SmacWrap Recoil's but when I want to give it a harder swing I lose my dispersion as I'm just curious what are the pro's and con's on the MMT shafts. Some brands charge an upgrade while PXG doesn't. This will be my 1st set so not sure what to expect.

I switched to MMT 105s about a month ago after many years of S300/S400. 

 

Love 'em. My biggest reason for switching was joint pain - and they've completely eliminated that. I played 54 holes in the last 3 days and my elbows and wrists are just fine. Before that; I'd be sore as hell after that much golf in the same timeframe. For me; they adapt quite nicely to swing speed (driver average somewhere from 100-105) - stay more firm for easier swings (like little knockdown short irons, which I play a lot) but load up and have a nice feeling kick when taking full swings. I, personally, really like that feeling. 

 

Honestly can't name any cons. The overall feel is a little different from steel but nothing crazy - I got through it going through a bucket at the range and 9 hole practice round. 

 

Totally on #TeamMMT now. Even picked up one of the hybrid shafts to try out in my hybrid.

I play MMTs, 95g, they're awesome.  100% agree with aenemated

Just a note, I believe PXG doesn’t charge an upgrade for the MMT 80s only

Played fiber 100, 115 and then 95. Like mentioned, they tend to paly stiffer and required a bit more effort .. As I got older and play(ING)Ed less, wanted to move to something that felt good, but was a little easier to use. The 105s were a perfect answer. 

 

So good I play them in all my irons 90 in my zxu, 105s and then scoring wedges. If there is a complaint, its the glossy black finish. I really wish there was an option for matte 105s as they dont show wear as much.

Got mmt 105 and sf 110. For me I feel the mmt has a flex point about 7-10 inches about the head. The sf seems to flex more in the mid shaft. Both have similar flight, spin, distance characteristics, but sf seems slightly smoother. The mmt feels almost hingie at the flex point, which I don’t prefer.
