Which Driver?

There are 2 Drivers I am looking at getting

When I went to my driver fitting, they put me in a 60 gram shaft with an overall swing weight D2.5

 

Now there are 2 drivers I am deciding on

One driver has a 60 grams shaft but a swing weight of D1

The other driver has a 65 gram shaft with a swing weight of D2.5

 

Do I get option 1 with the 60 gram shaft

or

Option 2 with the correct Swing weight of D2.5

D1 is awfully light and from what I've seen, doesn't work for a lot of golfers unless you're a senior or female.  My point being for slower ss.  Proper swing weight is very important for the sake of dispersion and contact so I suggest going with D2.5 since that's what fits you.

A little bit of lead tape or some changeable weights could turn the D1 into D2.5 very easily. But at the same time 5 grams of shaft weight is barely even enough to notice so it's not like that's really an issue either. So the answer is simply the one you like/hit better.

Sorry to take over this thread. Is this the same for irons too? Just wondering if my inconsistency is due to a swingweight too light at d0

Most definitely.  D0 is too light for most golfers.  My father who's 72 has irons that are D2.  I think my mother's irons are D1.  I find it's really hard to square irons when the swing weight it too light.
