Painful to bend and tee the ball up.

I have a couple of friends that help me tee my ball up. It's really embarrassing when we have an outsider playing along.

Does anyone else have this problem. I have a grabber on my putter which enables me to get my ball out the hole.

Believe it or not I can still play. Is exercise or maybe physical therapy the answer? This is not a joke, just an old man 

seeking some help.

Go to physical therapy. What you are describing here is way to vague. You've probably developed muscle weakness but you need a professional to determine what actually needs to be fixed.

Physical therapy, personal trainer, and a good chiropractor could do you a lot of good. 
 

I know a lot of people role their eyes when you mention physical therapy but sometimes people need a good set of eyes on them. Let that person evaluate your fitness level and show you how to live a better life.

If you’ve never tried the Martini Tees, get a five pack.  Nothing more aggravating in your position than trying to use a small headed tee.

I think you would want want a Martini Tee with that as well, otherwise the ball might be prone to falling off as you try to withdraw the unit.

I've had back problems since I was 28. I'm now 62. 

Over the yrs I've had at times needed my buddies to put my ball on the tee. I wouldn't feel bad about it. You are still out there playing. Bending over now to the ground with severe arthritis isn't something I can't do very easily. I get down on one knee to tee my ball up but getting back up isn't easy. I use step tees now to tee my ball up. I get the same height every time so I don't have to get down to readjust the tee height. 

I had my partners pick my ball out of the hole for me until last yr. when I put a ball pick up tool on my putter. I've should have done that yrs. ago.

As others have said go to a doctor and check out physical therapy. 

 

We all get old and some us have problems. I certainly wouldn't let a handicap keep me from playing golf and I wouldn't feel bad asking someone for a little help.

I'm the bad back guy and I play with a guy that can't see his ball in the air, a guy that has two bad knees and can hardly walk. Sometimes I play with a guy that has an air tank. We all work together on the course to help each other out.
