What golf shorts do you like?

I got a pair of shorts from RGC (Random Golf Club) that are probably my favorite pair.  But for those really hot days I recently purchased some RLX shorts with a liner that are more like your typical "athletic" shorts.  But they are great.

Colors, material = Greyson, not even close.  The fit for my body is terrible though.  I'm 5'-8" 165lbs and they fit like spandex around my legs and a** + their 10" long. 

 

Fit = Bonobos Performance Link with the Highland coming in 2nd.  The Performance link have stretch and fit perfectly for me.  Performance Link = 9" inseam and the Highland's are 10" or 8".  Colors are not as good as Greyson, but they have been improving.

+1 for Lululemon  ... also recently bought every color 32degrees had for the Stretch Woven shorts... Couldn't beat it for 14.99 per. 

Banana / Old Navy Ultimate Tech's have been good for me as well.

I basically live in O'Neill hybrid shorts all summer, and I love wearing a glorified bathing suit at a private club that has a "no bathing suits" rule on the course.

 

Added bonus:  bring on the rain, I fear it not.

How are you digging these? I found some 32 Degrees stuff at Costco a year or two back and still have the shirts to this day. They seem to make real affordable and comfty stuff but, I've never been a fan of online buying without trying.

These didn't get a lot of love earlier in the thread but I'm a convert to the FJ lightweight shorts. 9" sits perfectly on me and they're really really light and breathable, which is great, because I'm a sweaty mess most days.

I wear them a lot actually. The material isn’t “slick” and has a closer feel to a natural fabric than techy polyester.

I'm a bigger fella so noy many brands carry my size nor do most cuts fit my legs. Best I've found for me has been Callaway. I have like 5 pairs and only 1 I don't quite like the cut/material. 

 

Bonus when they're on sale which is often.

Ben Hogan performance shorts from Walmart, only $18 a pair.  Durable quality, no exterior branding mark and good fit for athletic guys with some glutes and legs. Just size up one size.

Expensive but worth it, imo: Lululemon Commission Classic-Fit Short 7" Warpstreme. I'm 5'9" and pretty slim. On me, they're right against the 4" from knee rule that many private clubs have.

also I wear drawstring shorts as I believe that only old farts think you have to follow such stringent dress codes. Times have moved on.

Puma Jackpot - have shorts and pants in basically every color.  Pants easily double as work pants. Washed tons of time and still look new.  Nice weights, material has a certain smoothness to it and rubberized waistband.

You all have piqued my interest in the LinkSoul Boardwalkers. I’m looking at them now and I see there are two options: solid or AC. Do you prefer one style over the other? And are they true to size? 

I currently wear mostly Under Armour, but these seem like a good option.

AC are perforated to provide more breath ability per the marketing. I have both and prefer the regular boardwalkers.  Fit pretty true to size. I always need to get them hemmed an inch or 2 but I’m short.

Amazon basics classic golf shorts. They fit my larger thighs and are 7 or so inch inseam which I like.

I have a pair of Linksoul boardwalker pants and although I really like them I think it's worth mentioning they don't have as much "stretch" as a lot of other brands I own especially around the waist.

 

I'll fluctuate between a 31/32 waist so I typically get the 31 in most brands because I know they'll have a tiny bit of stretch if needed. With the boardwalkers I had to actually get a tailor to let the waist out about a half inch because there is no stretch there.

 

They fit fine now but definitely something to consider.

Thanks! That is good to know. I really like the stretch of my UA shorts, so I’ll look around to see if there’s a local store where I can try out the Boardwalkers.

I don’t wear shorts that often since I live in San Francisco and it never gets that hot at Harding or other courses I play.  When I venture out to a place like Poppy Ridge or anywhere hot, then I’ll slap on a pair.  Usually has to be 90+ for me to wear shorts.  On those warm days, I just thrown on a pair on Bonobos Lightweight pants with SPF protection.    When I do wear shorts, it’s whatever I picked up at Nordstrom Rack, which are some Callaways that I picked up for $29.99.
