Maybe.  Depends on how many leaches he had on him when he made it big.  Coming from nowhere to that usually means you owe alot of folks huge.  Ask finau.  And they won’t take payoffs. They want to drain you slowly over time.

LOL. Try adding in a few more guys that never won like Tommy. Although he does have a much better record in majors than does your boy.  Åberg has as many wins on the big boy tour as Niemann and he’s a year younger.  Niemann and Nick Dunlap have the same number of PGA Tour wins and Dunlap is only 21.

 

PS. All these posts about the guy and you still can’t be bothered to spell his name right?🤭

I love Tommy but Niemann's career is way better lol. Half of Tommy's wins are events like the Nedbank Challenge and Kazakhstan Open.

I think Ludvig is supremely overrated. Tom Kim has more wins on tour, as many top 10s in majors and is 2 yrs younger

Ludvig has been off since his knee injury.  I hope to see some better play at the end of this year.  Buy, yes, at this moment, a bit overrated.

I'll bite...not enough credit for his 7 wins on the Euro Tour from the stateside crowd.  

Comes up big in the majors...but always a bridesmaid.  Very solid record there (plus a 2nd at the Olympics ), but he needs a major or two to be remembered.

He has a better career so far, but great players are remembered for how they do in majors more than anything else

Can a golfer not do well in certain settings, set-ups and formats of competitions and not others?

 

Maybe the compressed format (54 holes and shorter day on the course) just suits him better.  I don't know but I got to think there is likely more than one reason and more than just, these guys are has beens and nobodies.  Bryson is out there not lighting LIV on fire but doing decent in majors.  Majors were sort of flukey to begin with and might be even more so with essentially three tours coming together to play them.  You get some odd winners and odd names on the leaderboard.

Tommy’s 63s at Shinnecock and LACC were sick. But he hasn’t done anything of note Niennman won multiple times on tour at a young age

Without looking at the list I could buy this. I'm just not going to give any sort of weight to winning against the same field every week where...2/3 of the guys are non factors. No one is grinding out wins to feed their families. No one is worrying about a cut. No one cares about having a job or keeping their cards - I dont care what David Fehrety says there is literally NO STRESS on this tour. Which is great, maybe thats why he's winning. But I'm not mapping these wins against real tour wins in any way.

I wonder about the consequences Brooks, Bryson, and Bubba will get for being in the Happy Gilmore 2 movie that clearly poked at LIV. Are they going to realize they can never get out and they have to put the tee back in the basket or else they get the hose again?
